Spring break is one of the busiest times of the year for Walt Disney World Resort in Florida as families and students from all over the world take advantage of the school holidays to visit “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Disney World is a popular destination during spring break and Guests may have longer waits as it is more crowded, and remember Florida’s heat and weather can change quickly.
Disney World is known for being busier during Christmas, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, Spring and Summer, and many more times during the year. Honestly, most Disney World Guests would say the Parks are busy “all the time now.”
Disney World during spring break is an exciting and busy time, and there are a few things to keep in mind when planning your visit. Be prepared for crowds, arrive early, dress appropriately, use Genie +, and stay patient and flexible. With these tips in mind, you can make the most of your visit and enjoy all that Disney World has to offer.
Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each theme park includes thrilling and family-friendly attractions for Guests to make magical memories. Disney World also includes two water parks called Blizzard Beach(temporally closed) and Typhoon Lagoon.
In a TikTok that has gone viral, one Guest explains how Guests are lining up waiting for a pool chair for over an hour and a half. Jenny Rauch was at her Disney hotel Key West Resort getting a morning coffee when she noticed the line for the pool. Rauch described this event as “the Hunger Games.”
Rauch talked about “Grown adults running, throwing their towels on the chairs, as if it’s some special reservation for themselves,” Rauch said “Like, no. The white towels do nothing… If I see a white towel and I’m at a pool, and I want the chair, I will literally take your white towel and throw it on the ground, and I will lay my bottom in your chair.”
This Guest then quoted Taylor Swift’s popular song “This is why we can’t have nice things.”
Essentially, the pool was so swamped by Guests that any convenience or amenity that you’d typically enjoy was shut down.
Disney’s Old Key West Resort is described as “experiencing the romance of the Florida Keys at this tranquil community of Conch Flats—a sprawling island hamlet with shimmering waterways, swaying palm trees and manicured golf-course fairways. Delight in sun-soaked pools, casual dining and such amenities as fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes.”
