Disney Guest Stands Up to Bad Guest Behavior in Bold Move

Who was in the right? A Disneyland visitor recently shared their frustration with line-cutters, describing an uncomfortable standoff with a teenager who attempted to bring friends ahead in line. While the rest of their visit was filled with joyful moments like meeting beloved characters and enjoying rides until closing, this particular encounter left them frustrated with guest behavior.

Unexpected Queue Drama at Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride

The incident occurred while the guest was waiting for Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, a nostalgic attraction in Fantasyland. As they stood in line, they noticed a teenage girl, approximately 14-16 years old, blaring TikTok videos on her phone, ignoring the surrounding crowd.

Just before the queue reached the attraction’s indoor portion, the teen turned to the guest and casually stated that her friends would be joining her.

However, the guest wasn’t willing to let this slide. Instead of stepping aside, they firmly denied the request, making it clear that her friends could wait behind their group like everyone else. This led to a brief but tense exchange, as the teen tried to argue, only for the guest to offer three clear choices:

  1. Step out of line and wait for her friends to arrive.
  2. Ride solo.
  3. Move behind the guest’s party to reunite with her friends there.

To ensure the situation didn’t escalate further, the guest made it known that they would seek assistance from a cast member if necessary. Feeling out of options, the teen reluctantly moved behind them but made sure to express her displeasure, sulking and making passive-aggressive remarks for the rest of the wait.

Later, the guest reflected on the incident, dismissing any guilt with a lighthearted response:

“Oh well, Tinkerbell, you didn’t get to take advantage of us and cut your friends in.”

Disneyland’s Never-Ending Battle Against Line-Cutters

The issue of queue etiquette is a constant debate among Disneyland guests. Some visitors argue that allowing one or two friends to join isn’t a big deal, while others see it as a frustrating way to cheat the system.

For many regulars, standing firm against line-cutting is an important way to maintain fairness in a park where guests often wait an hour or more for rides. While exceptions exist—such as a young child needing to use the restroom—many parkgoers agree that people should enter and stay in line together rather than cutting ahead.

Disneyland’s official policy prohibits line-jumping, and Cast Members can intervene if guests report an issue or if they see it firsthand. However, enforcement often depends on the situation, and many incidents go unnoticed unless another guest speaks up.

If a visitor is caught cutting or holding spots for multiple people, they may:

  • Be asked to move to the back of the queue.
  • Be removed from the attraction line.
  • In extreme cases, be escorted out of the park.

However, because not every case is addressed, some guests choose to handle the situation themselves—as this visitor did.

A Message for Disneyland Guests: Speak Up!

The guest ended their story with advice to fellow parkgoers:

“If someone tries to cut in front of you, don’t be afraid to stand your ground—politely but firmly!”

As Disneyland remains one of the busiest theme parks in the world, long lines are inevitable. But ensuring everyone plays by the same rules makes the experience more enjoyable for all—and prevents queue-cutters from getting away with unfair shortcuts.
