The introduction of Luke Skywalker has elicited a range of reactions from fans. While many express excitement over the new addition, some have voiced concerns regarding the portrayal of the character. For many, this character fails to match the iconic look from the movie. A Reddit user commented:

I am 10000% positive I could find a cosplay on Reddit that is more accurate than this ‘Luke.’ They must not want to pay much for face characters or something because holy [expletive], this would get memed on so hard if it was a Chinese knock-off Disneyland in some random [expletive] city we have never heard of… being in actual Disneyland is wild.”

Another fan added:

Some face characters don’t work, this is one of them. Looks like a guest cosplay.”

Disney’s Perspective

Disney has not officially addressed these specific critiques. The company continues to enhance the immersive experience of Galaxy’s Edge, introducing characters from various timelines within the Star Wars universe. The arrival of Luke Skywalker adds depth to the narrative, allowing guests to engage with a beloved figure from the original trilogy.
