Disney is known for a lot of things, from incredible animated films to theme parks that can take you to a galaxy far, far away and gorgeous cruise ships that will take you to exotic locations, including Disney’s own private island, Castaway Cay.
Disney Cruise Line is not the only way Guests can experience a number of amazing locations across the globe. Adventures by Disney takes Guests to places like the pyramids of Giza, the forests of Costa Rica, and the plains of Africa. And now, Adventures by Disney has announced that beginning in 2023, it will be taking Guests to three more locations that are sure to blow you away.
Disney Parks Blog shared the exciting new locations and more information on what Guests will be able to experience.
Adventures by Disney just announced an all-new expedition cruise experience to the northernmost region of the earth: the Arctic! Plus, families will also have opportunities to explore Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands with additional sailings to both destinations in 2023.
Traveling aboard intimate, purpose-built ships that are specially designed to access remote destinations, guests will experience pristine natural wonders and diverse wildlife during these unforgettable adventures. A team of expert naturalists and Adventure Guides will bring the stories and cultures of these regions to life both on land and at sea during a broad range of excursions that every member of the family will enjoy.
Expedition Cruises to the Arctic
This brand-new 10-day expedition experience will take Guests to the northernmost settlement on Earth where they can explore Norway’s famous fjords, as well as enjoy daily boat excursions that will enable them to see animals like polar bears, reindeer, and walruses in their natural environments.
Even more exciting, famous former Disney Imagineer Joe Rhode will join travelers during the July expedition where he will talk to them about his long and impressive career with Disney. Rhode will also host sketching sessions and share his love of the environment and conservation with everyone on the journey.
Expedition Cruises to Antarctica
The least populated place in the world, Antarctica is a place where many people only dream about, with its wide-open landscapes covered in snow. Antarctica has no permanent population, but over 1,000 scientists live there at any given time, studying the harsh environment and the creatures that live there. Now, Adventures by Disney will be taking Guests to the wild continent via Argentina through the Drake Passage.
Daily hikes and boat excursions during the 12-day trips will let Guests see beautiful animals like whales, penguins, and seals in their native environment.
Expedition Cruises to the Galápagos
The Galápagos Islands are truly a sight to be seen — known for its population of large and gorgeous sea turtles, as well as a number of other tropical inhabitants like sea lions and reef fish. The 9-day trip to this World Heritage site will be led by naturalists who will take Guests on three or four-night trips down Amazon, where Guests can get an up-close and personal look at the world’s largest rainforest.
These new expedition cruises will begin sailing in 2023 and bookings will open on November 12, 2021. Guests who book the trip to Antarctica before February 2, 2022, can save up to $1,000 per person.
