Disney Confirms Photo Package Price Increase at Disney World, Now $85 Per Day

Disney World raised Memory Maker pricing today, October 6.

Only one option changed.

Memory Maker One Day: $75 to $85.

Memory Maker, advance purchase three or more days ahead: holds at $185.

Memory Maker, standard: holds at $210.

So the entry tier rose about 13 percent while both planned-ahead options stayed exactly where they were.

Who That Increase Targets

One Day is the impulse buy.

Nobody plans a trip eight months out and chooses One Day. That guest bought the $185 advance package and paid nothing extra today.

One Day is what you purchase mid-afternoon when the character meal photos turned out better than expected. Or the morning of a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment. Or on the one day everyone matched outfits.

Planners paid the same today. People who decided in the moment paid more.

The Break-Even Just Moved

Worth doing the math, because it changes what you should buy.

Two One Day purchases used to cost $150, against $185 for the advance package. One Day won by $35.

Now two One Days cost $170, against that same $185. The gap is $15.

Three One Days now run $255. The advance package is $185.

If there is any chance you want photos on more than one day, buy the advance Memory Maker. The increase pushed the break-even to roughly two days, and past that it is not close.

Raising the entry tier while freezing the package price is a clean way to move buyers up.

One Thing Guests Forget

PhotoPass photographers are free.

They take your photos regardless of whether you buy anything, and every shot lands in My Disney Experience. You can look at all of them before deciding.

Memory Maker is only what lets you download and keep them. That distinction is the most underused piece of this entire system.

Merchandise Went Up Too, With a Catch

Standard Mickey and Minnie ear headbands moved from $36.99 to $38.99 at Disney Store, with numerous designs now listed at the new price, including Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom styles.

Earlier in 2026, pricing had many standard park ears at $36.99, with elaborate Loungefly and rhinestone designs reaching $46.99.

Here is the part passholders should read.

Disney offers a 20 percent merchandise discount on select items at locations including the Emporium, Creations Shop, Mickey’s of Hollywood, Riverside Depot, and World of Disney.

That discount calculates from base price.

Ears at $36.99 came to $29.59 after the discount. At $38.99 they come to $31.19.

Passholders paid $1.60 more today too. The discount scales with increases rather than shielding you from them.

Collectors Feel This Differently

A family buying one pair of ears on a one-week trip hits merchandise pricing once. Two dollars vanishes into a trip that already cost thousands.

A collector tracking Halloween drops, Christmas releases, attraction items, and passholder exclusives hits it over and over across a year.

Disney’s merchandise strategy is built around repeat purchase. The 2026 V.I.PASSHOLDER collection alone included a $65 Loungefly crossbody, a $79.99 hoodie, a $34.99 T-shirt, a $36.99 cap, and a $54.99 Corkcicle canteen.

Small increases compound hardest on the people buying most often.

To be clear, there is no verified evidence Disney is deliberately pricing out budget-conscious collectors. The narrower and accurate statement is that the cost of participating went up.

The Day in Full

Held: the $119 Animal Kingdom one-day ticket, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Memory Maker at $210, Memory Maker advance at $185.

Rose: Incredi-Pass up $120 to $1,749, Lightning Lane Premier Pass ceiling up $50 per park, Memory Maker One Day up $10, hundreds of food items, including a Harambe Market kids cheeseburger up about 27 percent, ear headbands up $2, and peak 2027 ticket dates.

The advertised entry prices held. The mass-market Lightning Lane product held. The planned-ahead photo packages held.

The impulse purchases, the premium tiers, and small-dollar food all moved.
