runDisney is a series of long-distance running events organized by Disney that combines the magic of Disney’s theme parks with the thrill of distance running. These events offer a unique and enchanting experience for runners of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes. Founded in 1994, runDisney has since become a popular and iconic part of the Disney brand, attracting participants from all over the world.
One of the features of runDisney events is their location within Disney’s world-renowned theme parks and resorts. These races take place in various Disney destinations, including Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Resort in California, and Disneyland Paris. Runners have a chance to run through the iconic Disney parks, past iconic attractions, and even interact with beloved Disney characters along the way.
runDisney offers a range of race distances to cater to runners of all abilities. These include 5K races, 10K races, half marathons, and full marathons. Some events also feature challenge races, where participants can run multiple races over the course of a weekend, earning unique medals. Each runDisney race has a theme and participants are encourged to dress up.
