Over the years, RunDisney races have quickly become very important events for Disney fans. RunDisney weekends allow Guests to mix Disney with exercise in a way that fuels our bodies and our Disney community. The past few RunDisney weekends have been incredibly popular and sold out at a record time. Now, the anticipation is building as registration for one of the biggest events at RunDisney grows nearer. Today, Disney helped amp up the excitement by announcing the themes of all of the races as the upcoming 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.

Race Towards the Finish Line at New Themed Run Disney Races
In just a couple weeks on April 11, RunDisney is finally opening general registration for their 2024 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. This event will likely sell out quickly, so fans are already preparing for the ticket-buying bloodbath. To help spark interest, Disney has announced the themes for the races of the event.
Despite what the name might suggest, Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend is so much more than just a marathon. The race weekend has 6 different races and challenges that will all be themed after some iconic Disney characters. The theming of Disney Marathon weekends is part of what makes them so fun and desired by fans. Running a race through the Parks with the encouragement of your favorite characters is an experience many cherish forever.

The race themes are as follows:
- Walt Disney World 5K — Pluto ($107.99)
- Walt Disney World 10K– Chip ‘N Dale ($150.99)
- Walt Disney World Half Marathon: Donald & Daisy Duck ($218.99)
- Walt Disney World Marathon: Mickey & Minnie Mouse ($221.00)
- Goofy’s Race & a Half Challenge: Goofy ($432.00)
- Dopey Challenge- Dopey ($672.00)
There will also be virtual races offered.
For context, Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge are completing both the Half Marathon and Marathon races. The Dopey Challenge means completing all four races.
