Sydney Agudong is an actress and singer who was born and raised in Hawai’i. Not only does she look the part, but her background as a performer and a native Hawaiian both bode well for the upcoming live-action remake.
Fun fact about the original movie: much of the cast were also native Hawaiians, and it’s been said that they even adjusted the script to make it sound more realistic and authentic in regards to the film’s setting.
