Fire Department Called in to Rescue Disney Guests Amid Malfunction

A reported malfunction at Disneyland Park led to a major evacuation.

Disneyland Resort is known as “The Happiest Place on Earth.” Guests come from all over to make magical memories that will last a lifetime. Disneyland is divided into two Parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Each Disney Park includes something for Guests of all ages and sizes.

Disneyland also includes different lands such as Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, and Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Mickey’s Toontown. Next door at Disney California Adventure Park, Guests can enjoy thrilling attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy Mission BREAKOUT!, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, Goofy’s Sky School, Soarin’ Around the World, and many more.

While Disneyland is a popular tourist location, errors, delays, and issues occur from time to time. Attractions wait times change with the amount of Guests, and if a delay or outage occurs. At the same time, Disney Cast Members do their best to keep attractions up and running smoothly.

In a viral TikTok, Disneyland Guests talk about being removed from a popular Disney attraction. Pirates of the Caribbean had to be evacuated, and while Guests were in the boats, they were stuck for almost an hour; then all the lights came on, the Fire department came, and Guests walked to safety. This isn’t the first issue we’ve seen at Pirates of the Caribbean, as the attraction has had a few boats sink, items have been missing, or animatronics just not working.

Pirates of the Caribbean is considered one of the most immersive attractions ever created for a theme park. This attraction opened on March 18, 1967 and still is a fan-favorite.

Disneyland describes Pirates of the Caribbean like this: “Strike yer colors! Guests adventures begin in a shadowy bayou, where Guests will board a weathered barge. Plunge down a waterfall in the dark and float through the spectral world of Pirates Grotto. Dead men tell no tales—but they guard their treasure for all eternity. Guests should keep a spry eye out for the sly Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series, as he schemes to get his hands on the spoils.
