This Classic Disney Attraction Turns Dangerous As Ride Vehicle Sinks, Forcing Guests to Evacuate

If you’re a Disney fan, you’re probably familiar with the Disney Park taglines. Walt Disney World Resort is the Most Magical Place on Earth, and Disneyland is the Happiest Place on Earth. For many, these taglines are entirely accurate.

Not only that, but the Walt Disney Company puts so much care and effort into their theme parks that, for many, Disney Parks are also some of the safest places on Earth. Nobody gets into the lines for a Disney attraction and worries for their safety.

However, one situation turned dangerous when these ride vehicles began to sink with Guests still inside them.

Disneyland Park is home to nine different themed lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown, and Tomorrowland.

Each of these themed areas is home to classic attractions, but New Orleans Square is easily a fan-favorite. The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean are some of the most beloved classic Disney rides, and thousands of Guests keep them on their must-see list while visiting.

Recently, however, one unlucky group of Guests were riding Pirates of the Caribbean when the attraction broke down, literally.

As we can see in this video, the Guests were enjoying the quintessential Disney attraction when the ride stopped, and water began to fill the boats. The Disneyland fire department even had to lead Guests off the attraction as the boats flooded.

The worst part is that these Guests were stuck on these sinking ride vehicles for an hour before being rescued.

When they rode Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, they probably weren’t expecting to have to literally ‘walk the plank’ to safety!
