Dining for Cheap in EPCOT

There’s no denying that a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is extremely expensive with Guests spending money on everything including Disney Resort rooms, travel, supplies, souvenirs, and more. Disney dining is one of the biggest costs at the Walt Disney World Resort and there are some completely indulgent and extravagant meals that Guests can enjoy that can cost a small fortune. Luckily, it is possible to enjoying quality food and dining options throughout the property without breaking the bank, so long as a few key factors are kept in mind.

We’ve looked at how to dine for cheap in the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios and today we turn our attention to EPCOT. The Disney Park is home to plenty of wonderful table service restaurants including Le Cellier Steakhouse, Teppan Edo, Tokyo Dining, Rose & Crown Dining Room, San Angel Inn Restaurante, Biergarten Restaurant, Garden Grill Restaurant, and Nine Dragons Restaurant, but Guests wanting to keep their costs down should instead focus on the many quick service locations instead. Let’s check out some of the best quick service meals and locations to enjoy three full meals and two snacks in EPCOT while keeping the costs down and dining for cheap!

Les Halles Boulangerie

Breakfast: Pain au Chocolate – Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie – $3.80 and Café – Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie – $3.45

One of the best places to grab a quick and convenient breakfast in EPCOT is Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie located in the France Pavilion in World Showcase. This quick service bakery opens with the Disney Park each morning and serves up a mouthwatering menu of traditional French pastries, sandwiches, soups, and more and Guests can enjoy a fabulous breakfast for under ten dollars. Pain au Chocolat is a flaky and fresh croissant stuffed with a generous amount of chocolate that pairs perfectly with a strong up of Café, or coffee, which can be either regular or decaf depending on a Guest’s preference. This lovely breakfast from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is best enjoyed while strolling the charming cobblestone streets of the France Pavilion in the morning light.

Morning Snack: School Bread – Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe – $4.49

EPCOT is home to many very popular snacks, but one of the most iconic and beloved options can be found in the Norway Pavilion in a charming quick service restaurant. Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is located near the front of the Norway Pavilion and steps away from Frozen Ever After and is a traditional Norwegian bakery housed inside of a cozy and welcoming interior. The restaurant serves up an assortment of pastries and sandwiches including School Bread which is considered to be a must have by many Guests. School Bread features a sweet cardamom roll filled with creamy vanilla custard and topped with toasted coconut and is best enjoyed on the outdoor patio of Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe which overlooks World Showcase Lagoon.

Lunch: Taco Trio – La Cantina de San Angel – $14.99

More wonderful water views of World Showcase Lagoon can be enjoyed from La Cantina de San Angel, a quick service location found in the very front of the Mexico Pavilion. This open air restaurant welcomes Guests to dine on traditional Mexican cuisine for lunch and dinner each day on a large patio that features a charming Old World theme that pairs perfectly with gentle breezes from the water. La Cantina de San Angel features several delicious options, but a filling and satisfying choice that is a great value is the Taco Trio which features a one barbacoa, one pollo, and one camaron taco all on homemade corn tortillas and served with rice, black beans, and queso fresco.

Chicken Pot Stickers

Afternoon Snack: Chicken Pot Stickers – Lotus Blossom Café – $6.50

To complement the sweet morning snack of School Bread, Guests can head nearby in World Showcase to enjoy an afternoon snack that is both savory and filled with flavor. Lotus Blossom Café in the China Pavilion is a convenient quick service restaurant that features a limited menu of authentic Chinese food for lunch and dinner each day and one appetizer option is the perfect serving size for a snack. The Chicken Pot Stickers feature a decent amount of savory chicken wrapped in a fresh dumpling wrapper and Guests can dip each bite in an array of complimentary sauces including Soy Sauce or Duck Sauce.

North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter

Dinner: North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter – Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue – $12.99

To round out a delicious, but cheap, day dining in EPCOT, Guests can enjoy a hearty and filling dinner at a popular quick service location in The American Adventure Pavilion in World Showcase. Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue welcomes Guests into a traditional Colonial interior with exposed brick and white molding details to enjoy barbecue favorites from around the county. Guests will absolutely feel that they have gotten their money’s worth with the North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter which features a generous portion of pork butt served with garlic toast and the choice of a side such as Beer-battered Onion Rings, Macaroni & Cheese, or Baked Beans with Burnt Ends.

And there we have it! It’s completely doable to enjoy a full day of dining in EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort without going over $50 a person. So long as Guests focus on quick service dining options and avoid more expensive table service locations, dining for cheap in EPCOT is absolutely a possibility. Some other popular quick service locations that also feature lower cost meals that Guests can enjoy while in EPCOT include Sunshine Seasons, Katsura Grill, Yorkshire County Fish Shop, and Connections Café & Eatery.
