Cheers, Mate! A Toast to the Rose & Crown Dining Room

EPCOT’s World Showcase is home to some of the most popular dining experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort throughout its eleven pavilions. The UK Pavilion in particular is beloved by Guests thanks to its charming cobblestone streets, unique shopping locations, and a beloved table service restaurant.

The Rose & Crown Dining Room is situated at the very front of the UK Pavilion along the shores of World Showcase Lagoon and serves up traditional British pub fare for lunch and dinner each day. Guests who dine at the location are immediately charmed by the regal brick exterior with classic architecture, ornately framed windows, and deep green wooden accents advertising the restaurant as well as the adjacent Rose & Crown Pub.

The main check-in area for the Rose & Crown Dining Room is an outdoor booth on the left-hand side of the building, and while waiting to be seated, Guests are invited to head into the Rose & Crown Pub. Inside they can enjoy a traditional wooden bar and paneling, mirror accents, occasional live music, and an array of delicious pints, specialty cocktails, and unique pub blends of favorite options like Guinness, Harp, Bass Ale, and cider.

The interior of the Rose & Crown Dining Room is broken down into several charming rooms that evoke the feeling of a small, cozy British pub in the heart of London. Guests can enjoy intricate molding designs on low ceilings, traditional fireplaces, antique lighting, and various artwork, tea saucers, and artifacts hanging on the walls. The cozy feel immediately relaxes Guests, making each meal at the restaurant a great break from the hustle and bustle of World Showcase.

Patio

In addition to the interior dining areas, the Rose & Crown Dining Room also features two open-air patios, one to the left of the restaurant and one in the rear. These patios are situated right on the edge of World Showcase Lagoon and offer up stunning views of the water, other countries, and Spaceship Earth in the distance, gentle breezes, and unparalleled views of Harmonious each evening. When checking in, be sure to indicate if you would rather dine indoors or on the patio, and the Cast Members will do their best to accommodate you!

Once seated, Guests can begin to check out the menu at the Rose & Crown Dining Room, which features many delicious traditional British favorites including several popular appetizers. Light appetizer options to begin each meal include the Coronation Salad which tops a crunchy grain cracker with fresh greens and madras dressing and the Soup of the Day.

Scotch Egg

Guests who are looking to enjoy a heartier appetizer option at Rose & Crown Dining Room should absolutely try the flavorful Scotch Egg, which begins with a perfectly hard-boiled egg that is then paired with sausage and mustard sauce and fried to crispy perfection. The United Kingdom Cheese Platter is also a great way to sample various selections that are popular in England that are served with a variety of accompaniments.

Dubbed the restaurant’s signature dish, the Fish and Chips are coated in a beer batter and fried until perfectly crispy then served with a side of hot, fresh chips, and traditional tartar sauce.

Bangers and Mash

Several other traditional British dishes are perfectly executed at the Rose & Crown Dining Room including Bangers and Mash which pairs traditional English sausage with colcannon potatoes, mushrooms, onions, and a red wine demi sauce for a flavorful and savory option.

Comforting and hearty flavors are also found in Shepherd’s Pie, which bakes ground beef, seasonal vegetables, and English peas with a fluffy topping of mashed potatoes and McCall’s Irish Cheddar. While this might feel a little heavy for a hot day in EPCOT, it’s such a comforting meal that it shouldn’t be missed!

Welsh Pub Burger

Burger fans will love indulging in the Welsh Pub Burger at the Rose & Crown Dining Room which tops a juicy Angus beef patty with beer cheese sauce and bacon and beer-battered leeks served with a side of fresh chips and Branston Mayonnaise. Mushy Peas

Mushy Peas are a traditional side of the vegetable that has been soaked overnight and then boiled until soft in texture and Bubble and Squeak is a fried mixture of potatoes and cabbage with a soft interior and crispy exterior.

Sticky Toffee Pudding

The Sticky Toffee Pudding features a steamed pudding cake accompanied by a warm vanilla custard and hot butter-rum sauce and the English Trifle layers fresh strawberries, vanilla custard, graham crackers, and whipped cream for a fresh and sweet option.
