Dining in EPCOT’s American Adventure Pavilion

EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort is home to some of the most wonderful dining options, with dozens of restaurants to choose from throughout the various neighborhoods. Guests can sample an array of international cuisine in World Showcase, or enjoy the unique atmospheres of space and the sea without ever leaving the Disney Park.

The host country of EPCOT’s World Showcase is the American Adventure Pavilion, where Guests can enjoy colonial-style buildings, The American Adventure show, performances in an open air theater, and several dining options that serve up American favorites. Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue

The main dining option in the American Adventure Pavilion is Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, a quick-service location open daily for lunch and dinner that serves up some mouthwatering barbecue. It’s no surprise that the restaurant has a patriotic theme, especially since it is run by Sam Eagle from The Muppets, who frowns upon anything distinctly unpatriotic.

The interior of Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue is colonial in style, with classic brick walls, red, white, and blue accents, and comfortable seating both inside and on a nearby outdoor patio. The walls are covered in themed items that showcase the history of the location, as well as infuse some of The Muppets’ signature humor.

A large posted sign reveals to Guests that Sam Eagle has an annual barbecue cook-off competition in Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue which is “a salute to all cook-offs but mostly barbecue.” Nearby décor showcases medals won in previous years, certificates awarded by Sam Eagle, and many other interesting, and often funny, details that can easily be overlooked unless Guests take the time to check them out.

The menu at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue focuses on various barbecue techniques from across the United States, all smoked over oak wood to infuse as much delicious flavor as possible. Guests are sure to be drawn into the restaurant as soon as they smell the delicious wood fire and barbecued meats, and luckily the menu features many options, ensuring that there is something for everyone.

Pork lovers can dig into the North Carolina Chopped Smoked Pork Butt Platter, which tops chopped pork butt with North Carolina vinegar sauce and serve it with garlic toast and one side for a hearty and delicious meal. The Memphis Dry-rub Pork Ribs, which are slow-smoked and also served with garlic toast and one side, and are the best option for Guests who prefer dry-rubbed meat over one smothered in sauce.

The Kansas City Smoked Half-Chicken brings some big flavors with a sweet barbecue sauce and choice of one side, but Guests who are truly looking to indulge should opt for a delicious sandwich. The Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich is first smothered in a rub then slow-smoked and smothered in Spicy Mop Sauce before being paired with garlic toast and choice of one side, giving it many layers of flavor and deliciousness in every single bite!

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue also features burger options for Guests who are looking to enjoy barbecue in the form of a handheld American classic. The BBQ Burger tops a 1/3 pound Angus burger on garlic toast with barbecue pork, garlic aioli, and fried onion rings or Guests can opt for a classic Cheeseburger that features a 1/3 pound Angus burger on garlic toast topped with American cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

In addition to the heavy barbecue options, there are also several lighter choices at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue that still pack some big flavors without the heartiness. Guests can enjoy the Power Green Salad which tops mixed greens with citrus fruit, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, radishes, and a citrus vinaigrette and also features the option of adding on chicken for an additional fee. The one plant-based option on the menu is the BBQ Jackfruit Burger which tops a plant-based patty with barbecue jackfruit, a plant-based mayonnaise, and lettuce with the choice of one side.

Guests can dig into Seasoned French Fries, Beer-battered Onion Rings, Creamy Coleslaw, Macaroni & Cheese, and Baked Beans with Burnt Ends. One of the best parts of any barbecue meal is the sauce, and Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue has four house-made options that Guests can help themselves to from a condiment counter. The Blue Ribbon Brisket Sauce is savory and spicy, the Sizzlin’ Pit Dry Rub Coalition is a classic smokehouse choice, Old Glory Mustard Guild is a sweet mustard sauce, and Blue Ridge Vinegar League is a vinegar-based option.

To top everything off, at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue, Guests can enjoy a menu of beverages from around the United States. There are plenty of crafts beers on tap to choose from in addition to non-alcoholic beverages, wines from the West Coast, and the Tennessee Lemonade specialty cocktail which combines Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and Peach.

Fife & Drum Tavern

Near the front of the American Adventure Pavilion, close to World Showcase Lagoon, is a small quick service location housed inside a small building with a charming brick façade and pitched roof. Fife & Drum Tavern is open throughout each day in EPCOT and serves up a limited menu of savory American favorites that Guests are sure to love.

Guests who stop at Fife & Drum Tavern and are looking for a full meal can order the classic Hot Dog which is perfectly cooked and served with chips, or from another famous bite that is literally massive. The Jumbo Turkey Leg is a classic Disney food that many Guests love and recognize, and it features a handheld chunk of meat that is juicy and moist on the inside, but crispy and perfectly browned on the outside.

In addition to the meals, Fife & Drum Tavern features several savory and sweet snack options like fresh Popcorn either in a regular or souvenir bucket, Mickey Pretzel paired with iconic melted cheese sauce, and Soft-serve Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone with the choice of vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. There are also assorted fountain beverages, non-alcoholic frozen slushy options, and domestic beer choices that Guests can pair with their meals or snacks.

Block & Hans

Across the American Adventure Pavilion is another small quick service option that is housed inside a small round stand that is open-air with one ordering counter. Block & Hans primarily serves up domestic beer and cider options including Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Orlando Brewing Blonde Ale, and Ciderboys Strawberry Magic Hard Cider in addition to one select snack. Guests who stop at this location can enjoy a hot and fresh Mickey-shaped Pretzel with Cheese Sauce for the perfect savory snack to pair with any cold beer!

Funnel Cake

The final dining option in EPCOT’s American Adventure Pavilion is Funnel Cake, a quick service stand that is just steps away from Block & Hans that features a very limited menu that focuses on the classic American fair food. Guests can enjoy a Funnel Cake with Sugar or opt for more indulgent choices like Funnel Cake with Chocolate Sauce, Funnel Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream, or Cookies ‘n Cream Funnel Cake with sugar, vanilla ice cream, crushed cookies, and chocolate sauce. There is even the option to purchase a Funnel Cake Gift Kit to bring home and enjoy later!
