ABC News president Almin Karamehmedovic told staff Monday that DeMarco Morgan, the co-host of the show, “has decided to begin a new journey and will be departing ABC News,” according to a memo obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
“His devotion to journalism and sharing with others is evident in everything he touches,” Karamehmedovic added. “We thank him for his kindness and many contributions, wish him well, and look forward to celebrating his next chapter soon.”
The fact that Morgan “decided to begin a new journey” raises more questions than it answers. Was his departure part of a larger plan for the show, or was this an unplanned exit due to personal reasons or other conflicts?
Why Are Things Shifting at GMA?
