Daniel Radcliffe, whom audiences know best as Harry Potter, the boy who lived, now has a baby boy of his own! Or baby girl! The baby’s gender has not hit the public media yet, but Radcliffe was spotted in New York pushing around the new bundle of joy in a stroller.
BBC News reported that Radcliffe’s publicist confirmed the news, though the baby’s sex, name, and official birth date are still private.

Many fans didn’t even know Radcliffe was in a long-term relationship, let alone expecting a child. Reports that his long-time girlfriend Erin Drake was pregnant surfaced in March and now the couple are brand new parents. The couple has already been together for ten years!
Erin Drake is an American actress who has recurred on shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017). Daniel and Erin met on the film set of Kill Your Darlings (2013), a biographical drama film about poet Allen Ginsberg. Radcliffe plays Ginsberg as he attends Colombia University and gets wrapped up in a murder trial. Drake plays a character named Gwendolyn.

Daniel Radcliffe was thrust into stardom when he was just twelve years old and immediately rose to fame with the popularity of the Harry Potter films. Many fans are astounded to learn that the little wizard from Hogwarts is 33 years old and now a father. Radcliffe recently won a BAFTA for his leading role in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022).
Radcliffe’s Harry Potter co-stars have yet to speak publicly about his new parenthood. Rupert Grint, AKA Ron Weasley, is 34 years old and already has a two-year-old! His daughter with actor Georgia Groome is named Wednesday. Hermione, played by Emma Watson, now 33 years old, has yet to have children.

On the subject of kids, Daniel Radcliffe told Newsweek,
I want my kids, if and when they exist… I would love them to be around film sets. A dream would be for them to come on to a film set and be like ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department. I’d love to be something in the crew.’
Who knows if his children will avoid fame like he hopes? It may be a difficult feat considering fans are already excited about them without even knowing their name.
