Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is over. During the celebration, many took advantage of Disney World’s special offerings to its theme parks in Florida. Some Disney die-hards even went as far as to adorn their personal vehicles to celebrate the 50th Anniversary by purchasing the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration Florida specialty license plate.
Disney’s 50th Anniversary License Plate
In recognition of Disney World’s “Most Magical Celebration,” Florida residents had an exclusive chance to purchase a fantastic car tag. The tag featured the 50th Anniversary logo with an iridescent Cinderella Castle.
The license tag was quite the hit with Disney faithful, and it didn’t take long to see them up and down I-4 in Orlando. All over the state, Florida drivers could be seen representing their love of Walt Disney World with the specialty license plate.
Lending to a Great Cause
Patrons of the DMV or county tax offices could select the special Disney World plate for a good reason. Proceeds from the specialty Disney license tag not only offered a chance to represent “The Most Magical Place on Earth” while celebrating the 50th Anniversary but also benefitted the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Walt Disney World and Make-A-Wish have worked together for a long time, bringing magic to extraordinary guests. During its run, the original 50th Anniversary Celebration plate provided proceeds to Make-A-Wish in Central and Northern.
Although the 50th has passed and the tag is no longer available to Disney World fans, the company continues its efforts to ensure that Make-A-Wish can provide once-in-a-lifetime trips for sick children and their families. In fact, in July, Disney made a $1 million donation to Make-A-Wish to “support the granting of life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.”
A New Disney World License Plate is Now Available
Although Disney World’s 50th Anniversary and the sale of the commemorative specialty tag ended over a year ago, Disney has announced that a brand new tag will be made available to Disney fans this week at their local DMV and county tax offices. According to Ashley Carter on X, here’s what the new tag looks like.

The new tag features Disney World’s most iconic landmark, Cinderella Castle, in bright blue, surrounded by a magical trail of pixie dust leading to the castle’s entrance. Of course, as any tag in the states reads, “Florida” is bannered across the top of the license plate. The tag also features the “Walt Disney World” logo at the bottom.
Disney’s New Plate Will Continue to Benefit Make-A-Wish
Keeping true to its name, Disney will continue to provide Make-A-Wish of Central and Northern Florida with proceeds from purchasing their newest car plate, which is now available. If the design wasn’t enough to convince you to add a bit of pixie dust to your everyday commute, Disney’s commitment to making dreams come true should.
As previously mentioned, the new license plate is available in some locations and will be widely ready for purchase later this week. To get your hands on Disney World’s new specialty Florida license plate, you must visit your local tax office or DMV. Stay magical, friends.
