Later this summer, Disney World Guests, Cast Members, and Central Florida residents will have a magical new healthcare option for their urgent and emergency care needs that will ease the stress of planning a Disney trip for those with pre-existing or chronic illnesses.

A brand-new emergency room facility, complete with a Disney-inspired presence all its own, will open this summer, making it a little less nerve-wracking to visit the ER.
First announced in 2021, the brand-new AdventHealth Emergency Room at Flamingo Crossings Town Center is slated to open later this summer. The new facility is located near the Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida, making it easily accessible to tourists and visitors to the Orlando area, as well as to Cast Members at Disney World.

In 2021, Disney announced that AdventHealth would become the Official Health Care Provider at the Walt Disney World Resort, as well as the Official Virtual Health Care Provider at the Resort. A partnership between AdventHealth and Disney has existed for nearly 25 years, and the brand-new emergency room facility at Flamingo Crossings Town Center will expand upon that partnership.
“The health and well-being of our Guests as they enjoy a visit to Walt Disney World is very important to us,” said Jeff Vahle, Disney World President. “This enhanced relationship allows for access to AdventHealth’s services, as needed, should our Guests have health care questions both before and during their vacation.”

AdventHealth’s new emergency room facility will be staffed by a comprehensive clinical team that includes board-certified emergency care physicians, as well as emergency nurses. AdventHealth promises an enhanced patient experience for those in need of emergency care services.
The new facility was designed with the needs of families in mind. Disney-themed touches, including murals and decorations inspired by popular Disney and PIXAR films such as Finding Nemo (2003) and Moana (2016), will create a magical feel throughout the lobby, making the ER a welcoming environment from the moment patients first enter the facility to seek treatment. Kid-friendly examination rooms were also included in the design of the new medical facility as a way of lessening some of the anxieties that accompany an ER visit for a young child. Just imagine visiting the emergency room and seeing so many beloved Disney characters!

AdventHealth ER at Flamingo Crossings Town Center is located just 10 minutes from Walt Disney World, at 13323 Hartzog Road in Winter Garden, Florida, and will open to patients in Summer 2023.
