It’s so hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is just over one month away! Families and friends will gather around the table, eat delicious food, and enjoy spending time together. They may also decide to gather around the television and watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This year will be the parade’s 98th anniversary, and there will be exciting musical performances, floats as big as a house, and, of course, the arrival of Santa Claus!
This year, there will be a brand-new float that a lot of families are sure to love. It features the most famous Australian Blue Heeler puppy in the world. That’s right, we are talking about Bluey! Bluey is a children’s show that first aired in Australia in 2018, but has since become a worldwide hit, with families all over the world loving the lessons their kids learn from watching Bluey and her family navigate their day-to-day lives.

While Bluey is not owned by Disney — it was created by Ludo Studios — Disney does work with the production company to air the episodes. In Australia, Bluey airs on ABC Kids and the first three seasons are currently available to stream on Disney+ in the United States.
This is not the first time Bluey has been in the news in recent days. There had been an episode of the show that Disney originally refused to air due to “standards” concerns. The episode in question had to do with farting. After the initial backlash of censoring the show, Disney relented and said that the episode would be coming to Disney+. The episode is called “Family Meeting” and is currently available to stream.
For families that do not have Disney+, Bluey also airs multiple times per day on Disney Junior.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air on November 24 from 9 a.m. until noon Eastern Time and 6 a.m. until 9 a.m. Pacific Time on NBC.
