Disney’s most beloved show is dropping its overall capacity.
Walt Disney World Resort is a popular tourist location seeing thousands of Guests daily. With this amount of Guests, it should come as no surprise that crowds are constantly a part of the theme parks.
Disney World is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” Walt Disney World has four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney World also is home to two water parks for Guests to enjoy, called Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests can enjoy walking around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and enjoying immersive attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Guests heading to the Disney Park can also enjoy attractions such as Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and many more. Guests wanting to view shows at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can experience For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, Vacation Fun, Beauty and Beast Live on Stage, Muppet Version 3D, and, of course, Fantasmic!.
Fantasmic! is a nighttime spectacular featuring a combination of live-action performers, special effects, and beloved Disney characters. The show takes place on a stage built on water, which serves as a giant screen for stunning projections and water effects.
However, if you’re planning to view Fantasmic! this spring, you’ll need to know that capacity has essentially been cut in half.
Disney has now decided to have Fantamic! be just one showing at 9:00 p.m., starting April 23, 2023, until the end of May. Since Spring Break crowds will have already been through Disney Parks, the show is dropping its second performance and Guests will only have one chance to catch the show. Disney Dining will continue to update Fantasmic! performances.
During the show, Mickey Mouse uses his imagination to conjure up various Disney characters and villains, including the Evil Queen, Ursula, Maleficent, and many more. The characters perform musical numbers and engage in thrilling battles, all set to a stirring soundtrack that includes some of Disney’s most iconic songs. Fantasmic! recently added new characters like Moana, Frozen 2, Mulan, Aladdin, Pocahontas, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and many ore fan-favorite characters
When Fantasmic! reopened in 2022 after a multi-year closure, Guests from all over brought large crowds to view this spectacular show. With this amount of interest in the show, Disney added several dates and times for this show.
