Marvel Comics

The internet obsession with Marvel movies and their casting can weigh on a future film way before it’s even started production. Marvel Comics is near and dear to fans’ hearts, which is why they are so keen on seeing things done right. You may have heard rumblings that a new Fantastic Four movie is in the works, and the world may have just gotten a glimpse at the potential cast.

The Fantastic Four, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1961, includes leader Reed Richards who is Mr. Fantastic, his love interest Sue Storm – The Invisible Woman, her brother Johnny Storm AKA the Human Torch, and Ben Grimm also known as a The Thing. On a scientific space mission, they gain superhuman powers.

In the past 20 years, two attempts at a Fantastic Four feature film were met with less than rave reviews. Here’s the rumored cast for Marvel‘s third attempt to get this franchise off the ground.

Reed Richards / Mr. Fantastic: Adam Driver (Star Wars, Marriage Story (2019), House of Gucci (2021))

Sue Storm / Invisible Woman: Margot Robbie (Barbie (2023), Suicide Squad, I, Tonya (2017))

Johnny Storm / Human Torch: Paul Mescal (Normal People (2020), The Lost Daughter (2021), Aftersun (2022))

Ben Grimm / The Thing: Daveed Diggs (The Little Mermaid (20230, Hamilton (2015), Blindspotting (2018))

Here’s the overall thought from Twitter:

Everyone felt like Margot Robbie was the clear stand out star of the bunch.

The real question on everyone’s minds,

why do they keep making f4 movies when they consistently flop

Do you think this cast can save the Fantastic Four franchise? Or are you hoping the rumors aren’t true?

About Lana Porter

Lana has never lost a Disney Trivia night. Maybe it’s the hundreds of times she’s been to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, her love for Disney’s ’90’s era hand-animated musicals, or the fact that she’s often likened to cartoon characters, but Disney and its magic have a special place in her heart. Her favorite Disney experiences include the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, eating Mickey Bars on the PeopleMover, and crying during the Magic Kingdom fireworks show. One day she hopes to be chosen as the rebel spy on Star Tours. When Lana isn’t Park Hopping, she’s at home reading books of all topics, watching her favs on Disney+, or snuggling her two cats, which she swears are not named after Disney characters. She loves surprising people with her knowledge of the Marvel Cinematic Universe but admits she is still catching up with Star Wars. She is happy to combine her excitement for writing with her love for Disney-style storytelling and share what she can with the world!
