If you’ve ever visited Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom, then you know that conservation is easily one of the Walt Disney Company’s top priorities.
Time and time again, Disney has contributed to conserving, preserving, and appreciating our planet’s natural beauty. Many of the attractions in EPCOT and Animal Kingdom promote this goal, and some invite Guests to donate to Disney’s Conservation Fund with the promise of matching the dollar amount.

However, spending more money than necessary while visiting Walt Disney World Resort is admittedly less than tempting. That’s why Disney and Avatar: The Way of Water (2022) have teamed up to create Avatar: Keep Our Oceans Amazing.
With the creation of this organization, fans of Director James Cameron’s Avatar franchise and Animal Kingdom’s Pandora: The World of Avatar can do their part without having to donate, spend any extra money, or even visit Walt Disney World.

Instead, all viewers have to do is play a little game on their phones! Here is the official statement:
From now through July 31, 2023, create your very own Avatar-inspired ocean creature. For every creature created in the Virtual Pandoran Ocean, Disney US will give $5 to The Nature Conservancy US, up to $1 million, to help them achieve their global goal of protecting 10 percent of the ocean by 2030.

The link will lead to a QR code that will direct you to a fun, quick little game once you scan it using your smartphone camera. With every creature you create, Disney will donate another $5 to The Nature Conservancy (up until the organization reaches $1 million).
