Deputies were called to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on Monday afternoon after a report of grand theft, a call that came in while the park was busy with guests enjoying their day at Walt Disney World Resort. The public record so far consists of a short scanner entry.
What the Scanner Entry Says

At 2:37 p.m. on October 26, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office logged a 911 call about a “grand theft” at the park. The monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime, which tracks law enforcement activity around the Central Florida Disney properties, passed along the information on X (formerly known as Twitter):

The post included a Google Maps image with a pin along a roadway near Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort. Scanner entries like this one typically use general coordinates that represent an entire theme park, hotel, or Disney Springs, so the pin doesn’t reveal where the call actually began. The theft could have happened anywhere on or near the property.
How Florida Defines Grand Theft

In Florida, the minimum value for grand theft is $750, and penalties increase as the value of the stolen property goes up. The scanner entry doesn’t say what was taken, how much it was worth, or whether it belonged to Walt Disney World Resort or a guest.
What Hasn’t Been Shared

Walt Disney World Resort hasn’t commented publicly on the incident. At the time of publication, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office hadn’t released additional details about the call, including whether anyone was identified or detained. A police report or criminal charges, if filed, could eventually clarify what happened.
Park Operations

Nothing suggests the report disrupted the day. Disney’s Hollywood Studios appeared to be operating normally, and guests can continue with their vacation plans as scheduled.
