Five Universal Orlando Attractions Are Disappearing From the Schedule This November

Universal Orlando guests planning a November vacation may need to make a few adjustments to their itineraries.

Although the resort is preparing for the holiday season, several popular attractions won’t be available throughout parts of the month. Some are undergoing lengthy refurbishments, while others are preparing for major changes.

One longtime attraction is even closing permanently, giving fans only a few more days to experience it.

Here’s a look at five Universal Orlando attractions affected by closures in November 2026.

A Popular Harry Potter Experience Is Closing

Guests hoping to ride the Hogwarts Express should pay close attention to their travel dates.

The popular train connecting Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure will temporarily close on November 4, 2026.

The Hogwarts Express transports guests between King’s Cross Station and Hogsmeade Station, offering an immersive experience inspired by the Harry Potter movies.

It’s also a convenient way to travel between the two parks without walking through their main entrances.

Fortunately, the closure is only scheduled to last one day, meaning guests visiting later in November should still have an opportunity to ride.

However, anyone visiting November 4 will need to use the regular park entrances to travel between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

A Major Jurassic Park Ride Won’t Reopen Until December

Another closure will have a much bigger impact on November visitors.

Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure has been closed since January 5, 2026, and the attraction isn’t expected to reopen until December 16.

That means guests visiting throughout November will miss one of the park’s most recognizable water rides.

Jurassic Park River Adventure takes riders through dinosaur habitats before things go terribly wrong. The experience eventually leads to a dramatic encounter with a Tyrannosaurus rex and a massive final drop.

Although Jurassic World VelociCoaster remains available nearby, it offers a completely different experience.

Families hoping to enjoy River Adventure will need to wait until its scheduled December reopening.

DreamWorks Land Is Missing an Interactive Show

Families visiting Universal Studios Florida will also notice that Po Live! remains unavailable.

The interactive experience closed on October 3, 2026, and Universal has not announced when it will return.

Located in DreamWorks Land, Po Live! allows guests to interact with the beloved character from the Kung Fu Pandafranchise.

Visitors can communicate with Po through an animated screen while participating in a playful kung fu training session.

Unlike Universal’s larger attractions, this experience is particularly appealing to younger guests.

Although DreamWorks Land still offers other activities and attractions, families hoping to meet Po through this interactive show may be disappointed.

For now, its reopening date remains unknown.

Universal Is Reimagining a Classic Horror Attraction

Another longstanding Universal Studios Florida experience is undergoing a major transformation.

Universal’s Horror Make-Up Show closed on May 12, 2026, as the resort began preparing an updated version of the attraction.

The original show entertained audiences with demonstrations of practical effects, horror makeup techniques, and comedy.

Now, Universal plans to introduce Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse.

The reimagined production will combine elements associated with Universal’s classic monsters with more modern horror influences from Blumhouse.

However, Universal has not announced a specific reopening date.

The updated show is expected to arrive sometime during winter 2026, leaving its November availability uncertain.

A 36-Year-Old Attraction Is Closing Forever

While several attractions are temporarily unavailable, one Universal Studios Florida show is preparing for its final goodbye.

Animal Actors on Location! will permanently close on November 3, 2026, with its final performances taking place November 2.

The show’s history dates back to Universal Studios Florida’s opening in 1990.

Over the decades, it has entertained families with trained animals performing tricks and demonstrating techniques used in television and movie productions.

Dogs, cats, birds, and other animals have helped make the experience a favorite among guests looking for entertainment beyond roller coasters.

Its closure marks the end of a 36-year tradition at Universal Orlando.

Unlike the other attractions on this list, Animal Actors on Location! won’t reopen after November 3.

What Guests Should Know Before Visiting

Despite these closures, Universal Orlando still has plenty of attractions available throughout November.

However, visitors should check operating calendars before finalizing their plans.

The Hogwarts Express closure should be brief, while Jurassic Park River Adventure remains unavailable until December. Po Live! and the Horror Make-Up Show have less certain reopening timelines.

Meanwhile, Animal Actors on Location! is preparing to disappear permanently.

For families hoping to experience specific attractions, checking the latest schedules could make the difference between a successful park day and an unexpected disappointment.
