After Nearly 2 Months Behind Walls, Disney Springs Reopens One of Its Most Recognizable Stores
Guests visiting Disney Springs over the past several weeks may have noticed something missing from the Town Center shopping district. Behind construction walls and refurbishment work, Columbia Sportswear has remained closed while crews worked on updates to the popular retail location.
Now, Disney Springs visitors finally know when they can step back inside.

Columbia Sportswear is scheduled to reopen on July 24, ending a closure that began on May 27. The store has spent nearly two months undergoing renovations, with construction walls blocking off the entrance while work continued inside.
Although Disney Springs is home to dozens of stores, Columbia has developed a loyal following among both Disney fans and outdoor enthusiasts. Its location in Town Center makes it one of the more noticeable retail destinations in the district, so many guests quickly realized something was different once the store closed for refurbishment.
The project appears to be much more than a simple refresh. Plans associated with the renovation indicate updates to the storefront, lighting, fixtures, wall finishes, and paint throughout the location. Once the walls come down, visitors can expect a cleaner and more modern look than what existed before construction began.
For many guests, Columbia serves a unique role within Disney Springs. While Disney merchandise shops dominate much of the district, Columbia offers something a little different. The retailer specializes in outdoor apparel and gear, giving visitors access to practical clothing that can be useful both during and after their Walt Disney World vacation.

That includes lightweight shirts, performance apparel, rain jackets, and outdoor accessories. In a place known for frequent afternoon thunderstorms, those rain-focused products can be especially useful. Plenty of Disney guests have found themselves searching for weather protection after getting caught in a sudden Florida downpour.
The store also carries merchandise that appeals directly to Disney fans. Over the years, Columbia has released collections featuring Disney characters and other popular franchises. Those limited offerings often attract shoppers who might not otherwise visit a traditional outdoor clothing retailer.
The reopening also benefits Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. Columbia participates in the passholder discount program, allowing eligible guests to save on regularly priced merchandise. For frequent Disney Springs visitors, that perk makes the store an even more popular stop.

Disney Springs continues to evolve through a steady cycle of renovations, new openings, and refreshed experiences. While major attractions often generate the biggest headlines, retail updates help maintain the district’s appeal and keep longtime visitors returning.
With the reopening date now confirmed, Columbia Sportswear’s absence is finally coming to an end. Guests visiting Disney Springs later this summer will once again be able to browse the store’s outdoor apparel, Disney-inspired collections, and travel-friendly gear in a newly updated setting.
After weeks of wondering what was happening behind those construction walls, Disney Springs shoppers won’t have to wait much longer to see the finished product for themselves.
