During breakfast hours, Disney guests can meet some fun characters at O’hana.  Located at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, O’hana brings Lilo and Stitch to guests in a fun, interactive environment.  Guests can also meet Mickey Mouse and Pluto while enjoying American foods with a Polynesian flare.  This is the main place to meet Lilo and Stitch daily in Walt Disney World.

One of the most unique character meals can be found at Trattoria al Forno.  Right on the Boardwalk, this restaurant brings animated favorites to life.  Guests can meet Ariel and Eric as well as Rapunzel and Flynn together at this breakfast dining experience.  Enjoy hearty breakfast foods while guests chat with these beloved characters.  Ask Flynn Rider to see in his satchel or if Ariel needs to borrow your dinglehopper to comb her hair.  Bon Voyage is a one of a kind dining interaction.

8. Garden Grill Restaurant

Located in the Land Pavilion, Garden Grill is a favorite of guests.  This slowly rotating restaurant brings great views of Living with the Land below.  This character experience is hosted by Chip and Dale who will greet guests to start.  Friends of Chip and Dale will join stop by for some fun interactions.  Chip and Dale, and their friends, greet guests throughout the day so start your day with breakfast or wait until supper for a fun way to wrap up touring.

4. Tusker House

Animal Kingdom’s Tusker House is a unique character meeting.  Guests are able to meet Donald Duck, Daisy, Mickey and Minnie all in their safari gear ready for adventure.  Donald and friends meet guests all day long.  This is a great option while in Animal Kingdom.  It is also an easier reservation to get compared to Chef Mickey’s if guests are wanting to meet the main mouse and his friends.

3. Chef Mickey’s

One of the most popular character meals is Chef Mickey’s found in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.  This buffet style dining is a top choice for guests wanting to meet the fab five.  Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald all visit guests during their dining experience at Chef Mickey’s.  Being a classic American style buffet, this is an extremely popular reservation.

2. 1900 Park Fare

1900 Park Fare located in Disney’s Grand Floridian offers guests two different character dining experiences.  During breakfast guests can enjoy the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast where they can meet friends such as Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Tigger and Winnie the Pooh. For supper, guests can experience Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner.  During this meal guests are joined by Cinderella and Prince Charming.  Also, the Stepmother and Stepsisters join in on the fun for some great laughs. 1900 Park Fare is a great character dining option for some unique character interactions.

1. Cinderella’s Royal Table or Akershus

For princess fans, there are two great options for character meals.  The most popular and highest in demand choice is Cinderella’s Royal Table located in the heart of Magic Kingdom in the castle itself.  Guests are welcomed to their meal by Cinderella before heading up to dine.  Once in the dining hall, guests will be greeted by more princesses such as Ariel, Rapunzel, Aurora, Jasmine and even Snow White.  This is the best character meal for princess fans. For those that can’t get into Cinderella’s Royal Table, or wishing to spend a little less money, Akershus in the Norway is another option.  Guests will still be able to eat in a castle and will be visited by some of the same princesses they would see at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Akershus is a great option for princess fans as well.

Character meals can be found throughout Walt Disney World.  It doesn’t matter if guests want to meet princesses or Mickey Mouse, there are great options for everyone.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
