Disneyland Just Made It Harder for Families To Walk to the Theme Parks
Guests navigating their way to Disneyland Park in Paris are running into construction at nearly every turn. In fact, the barriers start before families even enter the original European Disney park.
Fantasia Gardens Blocked Off

At the end of April, Disneyland Paris Resort installed green plywood construction walls around Fantasia Gardens, the landscaped courtyard area located between Disneyland Park and the Disneyland Hotel. The barriers block a significant portion of the garden display that guests typically pass through on their walk to the Disney park entrance.

Disneyland Paris Resort has not shared any information about what’s planned for the space or when the barriers will come down.
Construction Continues Inside the Park

Getting past Fantasia Gardens doesn’t end the obstacle course. Immediately after scanning into Disneyland Park, guests encounter construction barriers around portions of the Town Square Gazebo, where a refurbishment that began last year is nearing completion. One staircase into the Victorian structure is currently closed, though the gazebo itself remains partially accessible.
Further along Main Street, U.S.A., construction walls have appeared near a popcorn cart beside Sleeping Beauty Castle. The kiosk is still serving Disneyland Park guests, but Disneyland Paris Resort has not disclosed what work is happening in that area.

As of May 5, the most significant access change on Main Street, U.S.A., is the closure of the bridge leading directly into Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is currently being refurbished. Guests will need to use alternate entrances to reach Sleeping Beauty Castle and La Tanière du Dragon during the work, but both destinations remain accessible.
