Disney is in full swing delivering all sorts of exciting news as they are putting on the final touches on experiences throughout the Parks in anticipation of the 50th Anniversary kick-off on October 1, 2021. The 18-month long celebration will surely be one to remember with experiences such as the stunning “Fab 50” character sculpture collection that is arriving throughout Disney World’s four theme parks. Not only are Disney fans flocking to the Parks for the 50th, but if they are also visiting their local fast food stop for a McDonald’s Happy Meal! On September 14 McDonald’s began serving Happy Meals in EARidescnet Happy Meal box which includes a Disney character toy featured with Walt Disney World’s “Fab 50”. Deseree Teixeira-O’Neal shared a post to Disney World Junkie Facebook page saying: “Husband: “What’s for Dinner?” Me: “HAPPY MEALS!!!” Husband: “Again…” Kids: “YAAAY!” My daughter always has a mini tree she decorates with crafts and whatever she wants so here is what we will do with the toys. Had to get the drill out but other than that I do the glue and she shakes the glitter…EVEERRRYWHERE. Fun Christmas Project! At least they just won’t end up at the bottom of the toy bin…hmm maybe I should bring my husband and his coworkers lunch today… (I know I can just buy the toy but they are $2 for just the toy so for $2 more I can’t see not getting food and a drink.)” Check out the photos below that went along with the post:

Such a smart idea and a great use for a McDonald’s Happy Meal toy! While we’re sure there are some hard-core Disney collectors cringing at the thought of someone actually opening the package and using Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Happy Meal toys rather than just being collected, we love the idea and creativity behind this.

A cardboard box filled with glitter, glue, a hot glue gun, pliers, tacky glue, a drill, and shimmering gold findings—ideal for turning your favorite Disney Happy Meal toys from McDonald’s 50th Anniversary collection into magical park-ready ornaments or custom souvenirs inspired by the magic of Disney Parks.
