Disney Parks has just announced the opening of Steakhouse 71 on the first floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
The modern steakhouse will open to Guests on October 1.
The Disney Parks website says that Steakhouse 71 will have subtle hints and a few nods toward Disney’s history, offering twists on some of Walt’s favorite foods. Even the name has a Disney meaning. The “71” is a notation to when the Walt Disney World Resort first opened nearly 50 years ago.
“Steakhouse 71, which gets its name from the year the resort opened, has a sleek yet comfortable décor with fun design elements from the ’70s and hints of our Florida heritage with subtle sightings of the beloved Orange Bird and citrus groves. Start your Disney day with a delicious breakfast at Steakhouse 71.”
The decor inside the restaurant is sleek, but not stuffy. The atmosphere is kept comfortable, thanks to the fun elements of design from the 1970s. There are also subtleties from the heritage of the Sunshine State, including nods to citrus fruit and orange groves, and one of Disney fans’ favorite pieces of Disneyana–the beloved Orange Bird.
The new, family-friendly steakhouse will offer a wide array of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chef-inspired menu also includes lounge options, desserts, mixed drinks and more.
Breakfast
Steakhouse for breakfast? Absolutely!
At Steakhouse 71, you can start your day with a breakfast menu that’s got it all! From avocado toast and pastries to Walt’s Prime Rib Hash and Eggs Benedict, there’s something for every palette.
The menu even offers a Steakhouse Bloody Mary and Bourbon Cold Brew, made with Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew, bourbon, maple and vanilla bean cream. Or keep with your morning favorites like lattes, espresso, cappuccinos, freshly-brewed coffee and assorted teas and juices.
Lunch
Head out to the parks and come back for lunch at Steakhouse 71. Or make it a resort day at the Contemporary. Sleep in and come enjoy a lunch menu sure to make your mouth water!
Take your pick! It’s all scrumptious! How about a Wedge Salad or Fork and Knife Caesar Salad? Hungry for something a bit more substantial? The lunch menu at Steakhouse 71 also offers Salisbury steak, crab cake sliders and a prime rib sandwich.
Dinner
Dinner at Steakhouse 71 is the best! After all, it’s not truly a steakhouse without dinner and steaks!
Choose your cut of meat: New York Strip, Filet Mignon, tenderloin medallions, prime rib and more! Complement it with the perfect sauce and sides: choose from fresh-made options like seared broccolini, macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and more!

Finish your meal with tempting desserts, or, if you’re just getting started, begin your evening with delicious cocktails. Steakhouse 71 has a complete dessert menu featuring decadent options like Ambrosia, chocolate cake and creme brulee.
Talented mixologists are on hand to create the perfect cocktails–even one that pays homage to Mrs. Lillian Disney herself. Choose from citrus-grove-inspired options like the Citrus Grove Cocktail made with Italian bitter, green herbal liqueur, citrus juices, simple syrup, and orange bitters.
Or try the Steakhouse 71 Vodka Gimlet: vodka, green herbal liqueur, herbal blend, lime juice, simple syrup, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade. The Gimlet comes with a “lily” pad garnish that honors Walt’s wife, Lillian.
