The countdown to my Disney vacation always seems to go much slower than my time there. As we enjoy all of the fun and special family time, the last day always seems to creep up so fast, making me wish I could just extend my time a few more days. As I think about going home, I try to gather some things each vacation that will remind me of the amazing time we have all had.  And, Disney certainly makes sure that any item you could possibly want is available to you…within every 5 steps! My favorite souvenirs are usually pretty sentimental, a look back at my recent vacation.
1. Mickey Ears
My family loves wearing Mickey Ears the entire time we are on our vacation and usually decide to leave our past ones at home. We get our new ears upon arrival as our first purchase and after we are back home, we leave them out on display for a couple of weeks. They always make me smile! There are a ton of styles to choose from, along with ear headbands, which I usually prefer because they help keep my hair out of my eyes! So far, I have classic Mickey, Maleficent, Oswald the Rabbit ears, Winnie the Pooh, Minnie sequin, Ariel and my favorite, the bride ears complete with a veil. At under $20 for the classic styles and under $30 for the headbands and glow with the show ears, they are not exactly a cheap souvenir, but they get plenty of use!
2. Magnets
After a particularly wonderful meal, riding a new ride, seeing a new show for the first time or when we experience something very special, we commemorate it with a magnet. At around $7 or so, it is something we can collect a few of when we are there. My entire fridge is covered in magnets and pictures, something I learned from my Mother. As we fill up with fridge with our memories, I can’t help but think back on a wonderful experience as I am cooking or passing by. I just wish the restaurants had their own magnets like the resorts and some attractions do. In my foodie opinion, it would be like little badges of honor!
3. Christmas Ornaments
We have a Disney inspired tree, as if there was any doubt! Another must have when we go to Disney is another addition to our tree that will remind us of that particular vacation. We took the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom last year and made sure to get an animal print ornament. Every time I looked at my tree, I thought about those gators under the suspension bridge! There are so many ornaments to choose from so you are sure to find something special and Disney is always coming out with new ones! Have you seen the ears collection or the ladies of Disney shoe collection? I. MUST. HAVE!
4. Kitchen Items
Not only are there a recipe book to help you recreate your favorite dishes, but just about anything you could ever want for your kitchen is at Disney World!  If you are a minimalist, you can just get a Mickey drain cover or a kitchen towel or two. If you want to go big, everything from dishes, character mugs, wall hangings and utensils are available. My favorite kitchen items are the salts and seasonings available at the kitchen store at Disney Springs. I also love trading in my snack credits for portable snacks. My sister puts them in my nephew’s lunch boxes and he gets some Disney World vacation bragging rights!

5. Clothing
What better place to wear your favorite Disney t-shirt than to a Disney Park and what better place could there be to score your newest clothing addition? Recently, Disney has been selling really funny shirts! My hubby has his favorite one with Prince Charming on it that says, “Sorry, girls…I’m taken” Some of my favorites are about the monorail “Por Favor Mantengase Alejado de las Puertas” , Darth Vader riding Prince Philip’s Regal Carousel “This will be a day long remembered” and a shirt that looks like the costume worn by cast members at the Haunted Mansion. There are also sweaters, shoes, pants, shorts and active wear available. Any part of your wardrobe could have a Disney addition!
