Margaritas in Epcot Review

Margaritas in Epcot Review

Epcot has plenty to offer by way of alcoholic beverages. In addition to the Food and Wine Festival celebrations each year, there are a plethora of spots throughout the World Showcase where adult patrons can grab a drink and actually let loose (Because, let’s face it, no one can really relax at Disney without a drink). From the Rose and Crown Pub to Mexico’s own La Cava Del Tequila, there is no question that one of Epcot’s main attractions is, in fact, aimed at adults: Margaritas.

One of Mexico’s other alcohol supplying joints and one of the best attractions the Mexico pavilion has to offer is Margaritas, that little hut on the end of the pavilion. Though the name certainly lacks creativity, the drinks do not. Boasting a wide variety of flavors and liquors, Margaritas can satisfy any type of thirst, much like it satisfied ours.

When the Florida heat is beaming, anything frozen is a lifesaver, which is why the Frozen Margaritas caught our attention immediately. With bits of ice in the usual margaritas melting away and watering down your drink, the Frozen Fiesta, instead, is made of ice and wraps lime, mango, and strawberry together to create and island paradise in your mouth. Have them toss in a pomegranate liqueur floater and you’ll be in heaven with every sip. This was better than any top shelf margarita. The brand names might be tempting, but the Frozen Fiesta Margarita along with its floater was a drink fit for a tropical king or queen, not to mention it’s cheaper than any of the other mixed drinks even after the pomegranate addition.

All in all, there really isn’t a more convenient and delicious place to get an alcoholic beverage at Epcot. With a variety of mixes and flavors, you can get your margarita your way. It’s the kind of place your finally try and get hooked on. Definitely make a stop at Margaritas next time you are at the Mexico Pavilion.

Food: The name says it all! At this little quick service drink stand, there are margaritas and plenty of them. From frozen beauties to the tequila shots that give them their kick, Margaritas has some of the best and more refreshing drinks for adults around Epcot. It may not look like much, but the drinks here pack a hearty Mexican punch.

Atmosphere: Located along the cultural transition between Mexico and Norway, Margaritas’ atmosphere is made up of both mariachi-style entertainment as well as the whispers of the trees and wooden huts in Norway. It’s a great place to stop when you’re preparing to enter Mexico or when you don’t want to leave!

Service: The cast members here were not only bartenders, but they were quick service cashiers as well. They were all quick and knowledgeable, with a friendliness that can always be expected of Disney cast members. They may try to up-sell additional shots, but hey, who’s complaining?

Tips: If you are looking for something that will beat the heat AND get you feeling loose, do not hesitate to indulge in a Frozen Fiesta Margarita with a pomegranate liqueur floater! The mariachi band often plays right in front of Margaritas, so why not grab a drink and park yourself in the front row!
