Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be an exciting and magical experience for families and Disney enthusiasts alike. However, amidst the enchantment and anticipation, one crucial aspect to consider is the cost associated with your visit. From admission tickets to accommodations to dining, the expenses can quickly add up. Now, another factor of the Walt Disney World Resort budget has just increased.
Disney Parks Receive Massive Price Increases
Earlier today, Disney announced a slew of price increases that are hitting the Parks in the next few months. As inflation continues to rise in the United States, it has become more and more evident that prices at Disney will continue to increase.
Disney revealed a price increase for an Annual Pass at both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. They also revealed that single-day tickets, multi-day tickets, and Park Hopper add-ons would be getting more expensive as well. However, that is not the only thing getting more expensive at Disney.
Earlier today, Walt Disney World announced changes in its theme park parking prices. The price hike applies to standard parking at all four theme parks: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The Price to Park
The cost of parking depends on which type of parking you opt for. Standard parking rates are the more affordable option, while the preferred parking option offers a more convenient and closer parking lot location, albeit at a higher cost.
It’s also worth mentioning that standard parking fees at Walt Disney World Resort are waived for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. This free parking perk is just one of the many benefits that come with staying onsite.
However, for the rest of us, parking just got more pricey. Disney announced earlier today that the price of standard theme park parking was going to increase to $30 a day. The former price was $25 a day. This new price is effective as of today, October 11, 2023.

While the increase in parking fees may be cause for concern for budget-conscious travelers, it’s important to remember the value and experiences that await within the gates of Walt Disney World. From thrilling rides and attractions to delightful character encounters, each moment within the Disney parks is filled with enchantment and unforgettable memories.
To help mitigate the impact of the increased parking costs, it’s worth exploring alternative transportation options. Walt Disney World Resort offers a complimentary transportation system, including buses, monorails, and boats, which can transport guests to and from the Parks and resort hotels. Utilizing these services can not only save you money on parking fees but also provide a hassle-free and convenient way to navigate the vast expanse of the resort.
As always, parking is nonrefundable. It is worth noting that both Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld also charge $30 a day for their standard parking lot option.
