This is terrific news!
Any Disney fan knows that one of the worst parts about visiting the Parks is how expensive everything can be. Disney Park Guests have to pay for transportation, food, and merchandise on top of the price of their regular ticket. For those traveling to the Parks by car, they have to pay another additional fee: parking.
There has been a longstanding resentment between Disney Guests and paying for Parking. However, all of this might be changing as of today. Some very exciting reports have just been announced that might mean Parking is now free at a Disney Park!
Guests Receive Free Parking
Who doesn’t love free stuff?
Every year, millions of Guests head to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort to spend their vacation. Once you are in central Florida or Anaheim, it is up to the Guest to decide how they want to get to the Parks. Disney offers a plethora of different transportation on their Disney properties.
At Walt Disney World Resort, Guests can get around the property by using bus transportation, water transportation, monorail transportation, Disney Skyliner transportation, the Minnie Van service, or standard parking. At Disneyland Resort, Guests typically choose to drive themselves and Park due to the walkable nature of the Resort. Uber/Lyft is also allowed on the property as well.
Regardless of the other options, many Guests prefer to drive themselves to the Resort. The price for parking is as follows:
- Preferred parking: car or motorcycle – $45 to $50 per day*
- Standard parking: car or motorcycle – $25 per day
- Oversized Vehicle Parking: Shuttle, Limo, Camper Trailer, RV, Bus or Tractor Trailer – $30 per day.
- $30 per car or motorcycle – purchase now
- $35 per oversized vehicle, motor home or tractor (without trailer) – at the Toy Story Parking Area only
- $40 per bus or tractor (with extended trailer) – at the Toy Story Parking Area only.
Parking can be an expensive additive to an already costly trip. This is why one Guest was shocked and pleased to find out that parking was free today! The Guest was visiting Disneyland Resort when they were not charged for Parking at Mickey & Friends.
While there is no confirmation that this is happening in other locations, Disney fans desperately hope that the Walt Disney Company is making this a new policy from now on.
