When Disney World kicked off its 50th Anniversary celebration, not only was there a bunch of delicious (and some really weird) food offerings, but there was also a lot of new merchandise that was released. From tumblers to sweatshirts, pins, magnets, and more, it seemed that there were just endless options for those wanting to take home a little 50th magic. Even better? Disney promised new merchandise releases throughout the length of the celebration.
Recently, Disney released a new 50th spirit jersey and fans were immediately enamored. The blush pink jersey is covered in sequins on the lower half and features the Walt Disney World 50th logo on the front and Walt Disney World written in sequins across the back. The new jersey is currently for sale around Walt Disney World and has been released on the shopDisney website for $119.99.
While shopDisney is usually a reliable way to buy some of your favorite Disney merchandise, one woman is sending a warning to those who want to hop onto the site and buy the newest spirit jersey. TikToker mermaidfantasea took to the platform to share that her friend recently ordered the Walt Disney World version of the jersey, but what they received was not what they ordered.
According to the woman, her friend opened the box to see what she believes is the Disneyland version. The back of the jersey looks like it simply says Disney, and there is no Walt Disney World 50th logo on the front. And unfortunately, things did not go up from there. Mermaidfantasea claims that her friend was on the phone with shopDisney customer service for more than an hour but was unable to get anything fixed because Disney said that the SKU number (barcode) on the tag for the jersey they received matched the SKU that is on the 50th-anniversary spirit jerseys.

shopDisney does have both a Walt Disney World 50th version of the new spirit jersey, as well as a Disneyland version, but the jersey the Guest received does not look like either one on the website, so maybe an earlier design made its way into the warehouse. Hopefully, the Guest was eventually able to show Disney the mistake in the shipping and Disney sent them the spirit jersey that they ordered and paid for.
