What could have possibly happened?!
Fans are perplexed after the service of a popular Walt Disney World Resort attraction was interrupted this week. Guests hoping to experience the ride were left out of luck as the breakdown apparently lasted 698 minutes.

Breakdown at Disney Causes Confusion
Breakdowns at Disney happen all of the time; it is just a part of running a theme Park of Disney’s size and caliber. Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, is a massive theme Park that services thousands of Guests every single day of the year. This amount of traffic and use causes lots of wear and tear on the rides, resulting in the need for closures and repairs.
Usually, ride breakdowns take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Depending on the severity of the issue, these rides can be stalled for much longer. The more popular the ride, the more frustrated fans get when they break down. That was precisely what occurred when Slinky Dog Dash, one of Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ most popular rides, closed down for a shockingly long amount of time.

The Slinky Dog Does No Dashing
If you are one of the millions of Toy Story fans out there, then you won’t want to miss Slinky Dog Dash, located in Disney’s Toy Story Land. Within Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Toy Story Land transports guests to Andy’s backyard, where they can experience the magic and excitement of being a toy. The standout attraction in Toy Story Land is Slinky Dog Dash, a thrilling roller coaster that brings the iconic Slinky Dog to life.
Slinky Dog Dash is a family-friendly roller coaster that invites Guests to board Slinky Dog himself and set off on a fantastic adventure. Slinky Dog Dash features a combination of thrilling drops, inversions, and banked turns that will leave you squealing with delight. The ride offers a perfect balance of excitement and family-friendly fun, making it suitable for guests of all ages.
Unfortunately, no such families were able to experience this attraction on Thursday, September 14. According to @WDWStats on X, the attraction was closed for 698, a staggeringly long time.

No further explanation has been offered by Disney, and honestly, this situation is bizarre. Having a ride be interrupted for nearly 12 hours is certainly not typical. Luckily, everything has been fixed and the ride is not able to continue servicing Guests for the rest of the weekend.
