Disney fans can’t get enough of Wondrous Journeys, the new nighttime spectacular that arrived at Disneyland Resort on January 27, 2023. The show is one of the focal points of the Disney100 celebration honoring 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios. It has completely captured the hearts of Guests. The gorgeous visuals, fireworks, and stunning musical score has made fans want to experience the music at home, but unfortunately, Disney has been very strange about letting that happen.
Fans Baffled by “It’s Wondrous” Streaming
Wondrous Journeys is an undeniably gorgeous show, but the real scene-stealer is the incredible vocal track. The song, titled “It’s Wondrous,” mashes up Disney classic songs in a unique and incredibly satisfying way. Viral clips of the nighttime spectacular have helped draw attention to the incredible soundtrack. This clip, posted by user @bodyloveandbeyond, has over 4 million views.
@bodyloveandbeyond That was literally just the exposition. The whole thing was like a giant celebration of Disney underdogs and I couldn’t have loved it more #disney #disneyfireworks #wondrousjourneys #disneyland
Understandably, fans want to hear this mashup for themselves. On February 24, the theme “It’s Wondrous” was available on YouTube Music. Universal Music Group licenses the song. Fans were thrilled to be able to listen to the song finally. The Wondrous Journeys exit theme, entitled “It’s Wondrous (Lawrence Version), was also available. A limited version of the song is also made available on Disney Music Licensing.
“It’s Wondrous” was Removed From YouTube
Yesterday, on February 25, “It’s Wondrous” was removed from streaming on YouTube Music. Fans are baffled by the sudden removal and confused why the Walt Disney Company is not allowing this song to be streamed. Wondrous Journeys is currently at the peak of popularity because of its recent debut at Disneyland Park. It seems strange for Disney to be stingy with their material like this. TikTok user and Disney fan @legendof_zelsa noticed how odd this situation really was.
@legendof_zelada And where is Live the Magic?! @disneyparks please explain the delay — why is Wondrous Journeys not getting the same love as the rest? #disneyparks #disneyland #disney #disneyfireworks #wondrousjourneys #disneyadult
The Disney Licensing Page still shows that the song had a release date on February 24. In addition, the soundtrack to “World of Color,” the new show at Disney California Adventure, is also unreleased. Fans will have to wait and see in the coming days if any answers will be provided on this bizarre behavior from Disney.
