Walt Disney World is giving Annual Passholders a little something extra for sticking around another year.
Disney has introduced a new Mickey Mouse Annual Passholder magnet that will be mailed to eligible guests who renew their passes. It’s a fun perk, especially for Disney fans who have built up collections of Passholder magnets over the years.
But the timing may be just as interesting as the magnet itself.
October is nearly here, and Walt Disney World has increased Annual Pass prices during October for three years in a row. Disney hasn’t announced another increase for 2026, and there is no guarantee one will happen. Still, Passholders entering renewal season have plenty of reason to watch what happens next.
Disney Is Rewarding Passholders Who Renew
Unlike many Passholder magnets, this one isn’t tied to visiting a theme park during a specific distribution period.
Disney is mailing a special Mickey Mouse magnet to eligible Passholders who renew. The design features Mickey wearing turn-of-the-century clothing inspired by Main Street, U.S.A.
The offer begins with Passholders whose anniversaries fall in September 2026 or later. After renewing, eligible Passholders should receive the magnet within six weeks of their anniversary date.
That’s an important change from the way Disney usually handles these collectibles.
Many previous magnets required Passholders to visit a specific park before supplies disappeared or the distribution window ended. The recent Kermit the Frog magnet, for example, was available at Mickey Shorts Theater inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios through September 24.
The new Mickey magnet is different because Disney has connected it directly to renewing an Annual Pass.
That arrives at an interesting time.
October Has Become a Big Month for Annual Pass Prices
Disney hasn’t announced a 2026 Annual Pass price increase.
However, anyone who has followed Walt Disney World pricing over the past few years probably knows why October deserves attention.
Disney increased Annual Pass prices on October 11, 2023. Another increase arrived on October 23, 2024. Then Disney raised prices again on October 8, 2025.
Last year’s increases ranged from $20 to $80 depending on the pass.
Following those changes, the Pixie Dust Pass now costs $489. The Pirate Pass costs $869, while the Sorcerer Pass is $1,099. The Incredi-Pass currently costs $1,629.
Another increase could make an already expensive purchase even more difficult for some families to justify.
Of course, three years of increases don’t guarantee a fourth.
Disney could keep prices exactly where they are. It could also wait until another point in the year before making changes.
Still, the recent pattern is difficult for Passholders to completely ignore.
A New Perk Arrives at the Perfect Time for Disney
The magnet itself isn’t going to convince someone to spend hundreds or even more than $1,000 on another Annual Pass.
What it can do is give existing Passholders another small reason to feel rewarded for renewing.
That’s particularly notable when Disney is approaching a period when guests may already be thinking about the cost of keeping their passes.
Disney has also placed some restrictions on the new giveaway. Passholders need a valid U.S. mailing address attached to their MyDisney account. Households with passes sharing the same anniversary date can receive a maximum of two magnets.
For collectors, it’s still an unusual new addition to the Passholder program.
For everyone else, the timing may be the bigger story.
Disney is giving Passholders a new reward specifically for renewing just before October, the month when Annual Pass prices increased in 2023, 2024, and 2025.
Whether those two developments end up having any connection remains unknown.
For now, Disney hasn’t confirmed that another price increase is coming. But after three consecutive Octobers brought higher prices, Passholders may want to pay close attention to what happens over the next several weeks.
The new Mickey magnet might be arriving in the mail soon.
The bigger question is whether a larger Annual Pass bill will eventually follow.
