Walt Disney Company Met 2020 Environmental Goals with 2030 Goals Set

April is Earth Month and Disney is celebrating in many ways from special Earth Month bites and beverages at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, to announcing their accomplishment of their 2020 environmental goals. With ambitious 2030 goals set, Disney is pushing forward, continuing to show their love for the environment.

Disney has set out to improve the environment across their parks and resorts by creating environmentally friendly practices while still offering guests the magical experiences we all know and love. Currently, Disney sites are working to reduce single-use plastics and harness solar power which is reducing tens of thousands of tons of greenhouse gas emissions each year. Plant-based and seafood dining options were extremely popular this past year and continue to be front runners on menus along with proper packaging of products.

Disney announced they met their 2020 environmental goals this past year and have a new set of ambitious goals for 2030. What can you expect to find in the 2030 goals? A couple of examples are Disney working to achieve net zero emissions for direct operations, along with having zero waste going to landfills from Disney owned parks and resorts.
