Universal’s Helios Grand Hotel at Epic Universe is drawing unexpected—and unwelcome—attention over a privacy concern involving its large park-facing windows. Recent reports from guests and team members have surfaced on social media, revealing that some visitors have accidentally or intentionally flashed guests below through these expansive windows.
An Unwelcome Sight at Universal
A Universal team member confirmed the unusual occurrence, posting, “epic TM here, it definitely happens lmao.” Meanwhile, one guest recounted their experience vividly: “DUDE I was walking past and saw a lady taking off her clothes. Literally heard someone else scream ‘holy – she’s taking off her bra?!’ And I was in shock lol. Pretty much that exact window.”
The Helios Grand Hotel’s design aims to provide sweeping views of the park, but these large windows have inadvertently created a glaring privacy issue. Despite the growing buzz online, Universal has yet to release an official statement addressing the concerns.

What Can Be Done?
Social media users speculate whether the windows’ reflective quality might have misled some guests into thinking their privacy was protected, potentially explaining the incidents. With children and strangers roaming the area below, many are advising future guests to keep blinds closed before changing.
It is hard to understand how this large issue could be ignored by the creators of the Helios Grand Hotel. As the park prepares for its grand opening later this month, it is possible that this could turn into a larger and more sinister issue for park guests.
As this story gains traction, questions remain about whether Universal will take action to strike a better balance between the hotel’s aesthetic appeal and guest privacy. For now, visitors to Epic Universe’s Helios Hotel may want to think twice before getting too comfortable near those large windows.
