The park features cutting-edge attractions, including 3D and 4D rides that combine innovative technology with beloved franchises like Harry Potter, Transformers, and The Simpsons. A major highlight, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter allows fans to explore Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, dine at the Three Broomsticks, and experience groundbreaking rides like Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. Universal Studios Florida is also home to Minion Land, which is a newly added land, this land features Villian Con Minion Blast, Bake my Day, Minion Cafe, and many minion-filled attractions.
Adjacent to Universal Studios Florida is Universal’s Islands of Adventure, a theme park divided into distinct islands, each with its own unique theme. Islands of Adventure is home to The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Jurassic Park River Adventure, and the spectacular Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. The park is known for its thrilling rides, immersive storytelling, and state-of-the-art attractions catering to various tastes and preferences.
Universal is a popular tourist location however, from time to time, attractions may face closures, delays, and be down for a period of time. Normally, if Universal Orlando has a closure, they will schedule it months in advance, like the Hogwarts Express closing, Jurassic Park River Adventure, and several other attractions.
Orlando Amusement tweeted on X(formally known as Twitter) that Universal Studios Florida was experiencing a major delay. Almost all of the attractions were shut down due to a power outage. While Universal did not close Universal Studios Florida, they did suggest guests with a two-day park ticket to head to Universal Islands of Adventure first. While this outage has been improved throughout the day, Universal Studios Florida still has several attractions down, like the attractions in Minion Land.
At one point, all but just three attractions were closed at Universal Studios Florida and Team Members were directing guests to go next door at Islands of Adventure.
BREAKING: A likely power failure has occurred at Universal Orlando, shuttering almost all attractions inside of Studios and delaying several inside of Islands of Adventure, and causing some to use virtual queue. Stay clear of the parks the next few hours everyone!

While attraction closures may be disappointing for guests who have their hearts set on experiencing a particular ride, they are necessary to maintain a safe and enjoyable theme park environment. Universal Orlando and other theme parks typically strive to balance the need for routine maintenance and improvements with the desire to provide guests with a diverse and engaging array of experiences.
