Universal Orlando Resort continues to captivate guests with its thrilling attractions. Due to the popularity Universal has garnered, Universal Orlando Resort is reaching new heights with the announcement of a groundbreaking addition called Epic Universe. This highly anticipated theme park promises to be an epicenter of entertainment, featuring an entirely new level of immersion and innovation.
Epic Universe is set to introduce new worlds, characters, and experiences, expanding Universal Orlando Resort’s footprint and solidifying its status as a global entertainment powerhouse. Epic Universe is expected to showcase cutting-edge technology and design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the realm of theme park attractions.
Universal Orlando Resort recently shared what Epic Universe will look like and the different worlds guests may experience, such as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Classic Monsters, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, and How To Train Your Dragon. Due to Epic Universe being the next big project, Universal Orlando has made changes and closed one of their beloved stores at CityWalk.
The Legacy Store at CityWalk closed earlier this month and may be in the process of becoming an Epic Universe preview center. Alicia Stella tweeted on X (formally known as Twitter) that the Epic Universe preview center is rumored to replace the former Legacy Store.
Universal has confirmed that an interactive Epic Universe preview center, that will offer a sneak peek at the new theme park, is coming to CityWalk Orlando later this year!
It is rumored this will be replacing the recently closed Legacy Store, but that was not confirmed. pic.twitter.com/fwMLRPQJCi

While more specific details about Epic Universe and this potential preview center are eagerly awaited, Universal’s new announcements certainly have created a buzz in the theme park world.
The new theme park is set to open in the summer of 2025 and will be Universal’s largest theme park in the world, joining Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay Water Park as offerings in Orlando.
Outside of Orlando, Universal has also been looking at Frisco, Texas to build another theme park that would focus on smaller children. This new theme park will be called Universal Kids Resort.
