Walt Disney World’s EPCOT is home to four different neighborhoods: World Showcase, World Discovery, World Nature, and Celebration. Each neighborhood is home to unique experiences, but World Nature is undeniably the most serene.
As the name suggests, the World Nature neighborhood is dedicated to preserving and appreciating the beauty of the natural world. The pavilion is home to classic attractions such as Living With the Land, Soarin’ Around the World, The Seas With Nemo and Friends, and more.
If you’ve ever ridden The Seas With Nemo and Friends, then you’ve seen the fantastic aquarium EPCOT maintains. Fun fact: this beautiful aquarium was actually the largest one in the United States before the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia, was built.
Now The Seas With Nemo and Friends in EPCOT is the second-largest aquarium in the United States, and it is a sight to behold. It holds nearly 6 million gallons of water, and if you have a hard time visualizing just how much space that takes up, listen to this: the entire Spaceship Earth attraction could fit inside this aquarium. That’s how huge it is!
This aquarium is home to roughly 6,000 animal residents, including a familiar finned friend: Crush!
Turtle Talk With Crush is an incredibly popular live show in which Guests are encouraged to ask the sea turtle different questions. The idea is to get children interested in the seas and to ask questions related to marine life. However, one session does not go as planned when an audience member asks Crush for…marital advice for his parents.
In this video, the audience member says to Crush: “My mommy says my dad doesn’t take her on enough dates, so can you give my dad advice because I want more brothers and sisters.”
This effectively stuns the sea turtle as the adults can’t help themselves but laugh.
In the follow-up video, the actor playing Crush briefly breaks character and laughs as he dishes out his advice: “You need to take your wife on more dates, dude!”
After a pause, he also says, “I’m only gonna stick with the first part, bro!”
Although this was definitely not the intended purpose of Turtle Talk With Crush, it’s good to know that the sea turtle has enough wisdom to answer any question he encounters.
