There are many reasons we keep coming back to Walt Disney World: the unparalleled service, familiar favorite rides and exciting new attractions, the diverse selection of food and beverages, and of course, that Disney magic that oozes out of every square foot of WDW property! Something else we prize at WDW? The fabulous entertainment options you can find at every park, Disney Springs and even at various resorts. Whether it’s a classic Broadway-style show, an underwater adventure that takes puppeteering to a whole new level, or a street performer who is hilariously in character while greeting guests, the entertainment bar is set sky-high at WDW! Here is some entertainment we can’t wait to return to WDW.
1. Finding Nemo – The Musical
By far our favorite live show in all of Walt Disney World, Finding Nemo – The Musical is sadly missed! We love the original music in this hugely entertaining show, and the enormous sea creature puppets are equally amazing. We can’t wait until we can rejoin Nemo, Marlin, Dory and all of their friends at Disney’s Animal Kingdom once more!
2. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
Disney’s animated film Beauty and the Beast holds a special place in the hearts of so many Disney fans, including us. So for years, we’ve been watching Beauty and the Beast come alive before our eyes in stage form at Hollywood Studios. Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage has it all: classic songs from the film, dancing, stunning sets and costumes, and of course, larger-than-life enchanted objects. Plus, it’s somehow able to tell the entire classic story in just 25 minutes. We can’t wait for it to return!
3. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
The best thing about the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is that, if you’re lucky, you can actually become part of the show! This always-impressive stunt show featuring beloved Indiana Jones is a treat for kids and adults alike. The sets are breathtaking, the special effects astonishing, and you’ll feel like you’re actually part of a movie – especially if you’re one of the volunteers chosen to come up on stage and learn some stunt moves!

4. Fireworks and Nighttime Spectaculars
Ah, nighttime spectaculars, how we miss you! If there’s one positive thing we can say about the temporary unavailability of these iconic nightly shows around the parks, it’s that we’ll never take them for granted again. We can’t wait for the evening fireworks, projections, music and loveable characters to return to Walt Disney World. UPDATE! Fireworks are now launched on the occasion at Magic Kingdom to go along with the changing of the holiday projection on Cinderella Castle. It’s quick and unexpected so crowds don’t gather… but still simply delightful to see a few fireworks coming back to Magic Kingdom!
5. Citizens of Hollywood
You might not know their name, but if you’ve been to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, you’ve seen them! The Citizens of Hollywood consist of street performers well-versed in improvisation, who show up on streets throughout the park (their arrival is usually heralded by a vehicle cruising down the street), or sometimes even in stores or rides. They’re dressed in flamboyantly bright costumes and depending on the day/location, you may see a game show taking place, or a maintenance crew on their rounds – but the Citizens of Hollywood are always hilarious (and they might even ask you to join the show). They are missed!
6. Jedi Training – Trials of the Temple
Where else can your little ones train to become Jedi Knights, and learn to use their new skills against the dark side? We know there must be a lot of young people (and young-at-heart!) missing Jedi Training – Trials of the Temple, at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Thankfully, aspiring Jedi can still spend the day at Black Spire Outpost in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, to get their fill of the Force!
7. Grand Floridian Lobby Pianist
Alright, we admit it, this one hits us hard. On every Disney vacation, we like to resort hop, and invariably end up spending time in the Grand Floridian’s gorgeous lobby, relaxing to the magical sounds of Grand Floridian Lobby Pianist. There’s something magical about hearing all of your favorite Disney tunes played brilliantly on a grand piano, while you relax in luxurious Victorian splendor. We can’t wait for this talented act to come back to Walt Disney World!
