Top 10 Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Lobbies

5.) Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – Seven Seas Lagoon on the shores of the Magic Kingdom connects to another body of water that is situated behind Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Bay Lake is a smaller body of water that is surrounded by large trees and features several small islands. On the far shores of Bay Lake is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, a Deluxe Resort which was designed to celebrate the grandeur and rustic charm of the famous lodges in the National Parks. The Disney Resort is absolutely massive and features wooden accents and a deep green roof which looks like the color of the forest. The main lobby is an absolutely breathtaking space that features a carved out atrium that is many stories high. There are large wooden beams everywhere, intricately carved totem poles, and artwork and items from the National Parks to help bring the area to life. One corner of the lobby at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge features a gurgling stream with a bridge to cross over, and guests who wander to some of the upper levels that overlook the lobby can find cozy corners with cushy armchairs and warm fireplaces. The lobby also features the popular Whispering Canyon Café and leads to other dining and shopping options. Guests who wander to the rear of the lobby can also look through the large glass windows and enjoy a beautiful view of Copper Creek gurgling down to other areas of the Disney Resort.

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane has been visiting Walt Disney World since she was a child and has developed a deep love and appreciation of the Disney Parks with a particular interest in the small details and history that can be found all around. Visiting every chance she gets, Caitlin loves to enjoy the ambiance of the Disney Parks and try something new every time. She can often be found eating and drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, riding the Haunted Mansion, sipping on a Lapu Lapu, pretending Illuminations: Reflections of Earth was still in existence, and enjoying seeing the magic through the eyes of her children. When not in WDW, Caitlin can be found at home in New York dreaming of a ride on Living with the Land and counting down the days until her next trip.
