2. Special Decorations

3. Seasonal Tours

4. Candlelight Processional
Winter is an amazing time to visit Epcot thanks to each country in World Showcase receiving traditional holiday décor and festivities as well as a wonderful show in the America Gardens Theatre. The Candlelight Processional features an incredible fifty piece orchestra and massive choir who help to tell the story of a savior being born in Bethlehem. Throughout the season, the Candlelight Processional is narrated by various celebrities, and 2019 includes Neil Patrick Harris, Pat Sajak, Whoopi Goldberg, and Gary Sinese.
5. Disney Skyliner
Walt Disney World is home to some iconic modes of transportation including the monorail, but winter 2019 will feature a brand new transportation system that guests will love. The Disney Skyliner debuts at the end of September and features a continually running system of suspended cars, each decked out with colorful decals featuring favorite characters. The Disney Skyliner will allow guests to conveniently travel between Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort making it a wonderful way to get around on any vacation!
6. Disney’s Riviera Resort
December 2019 will bring a brand new Disney Resort to guests where they can enjoy luxury and comfortable accommodations in the middle of the magic. 7. Takumi-Tei
Epcot’s World Showcase is home to some wonderful dining options including a new signature experience located in the Japan Pavilion. Takumi-Tei welcomes guests to dine on Japanese-inspired dishes for dinner each night. Five different rooms in the restaurant celebrate the natural elements including wood, earth, and stone, and guests are sure to absolutely love menu options such as Dashi Kamo Rosu – Rosted Duck, Nikomi Wagyu – Braised Wagyu, and the traditional tea service.
8. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
One of the most exciting things to be coming to Walt Disney World in 2019 is Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The brand new area will bring guests to the remote planet of Batuu and completely immerse them in the Star Wars universe. Guests can fly an iconic ship on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, build their own lightsabers and droids, taste the iconic blue and green milk, and opt to join either the Rebel Alliance or the First Order. This immersive land technically opens at the end of summer, but winter 2019 is the perfect time to visit as the initial crowds will have died down a little!
9. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
While Star wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in August, guests who visit in the winter of 2019 can enjoy the area’s second attraction that does not officially debut until December 5th. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance has guests recruited by the Resistance for a secret mission that suddenly finds them in the clutches of the First Order and Kylo Ren. Featuring brand new technology and a completely immersive and thrilling adventure, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is sure to be an unforgettable attraction!
10. Dining in Space
Winter 2019 will also see the opening of a brand new restaurant in Epcot’s Future World which will offer guests the unique opportunity to dine in space. This yet to be named restaurant will be located adjacent to the popular attraction Mission: SPACE and will brings guests into a modern dining room with massive windows offering unforgettable views of outer space. While many details about this restaurant are still waiting to be announced, it is sure to be a wonderful pace to dine in winter 2019!
