One of our favorite Magic Kingdom attractions, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, has been “Temporarily Unavailable” for some time now as noted “Closed for Refurbishment” on the Walt Disney World website. How long will the refurbishment take place? It looks like we’ll have to wait until at least November 21.

Walt Disney World recently updated their park hours through November 21. Under the “Closed for Refurbishment” portion of the calendar for November 21, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been added as still being closed for refurbishment.

Since park hours have not yet been populated for November 22 and beyond, we aren’t sure if the PeopleMover refurbishment will go past November 21.
While Disney has yet to release the refurbishment details, it is rumored Disney is replacing the magnetic linear induction motors. We’re hoping we’ll be able to cruise along on the PeopleMover for Thanksgiving… but we shall see!
