Disneyland Park’s newest attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, just opened this past January. However, it seems that the new Disneyland Resort ride has been accompanied by a myriad of problems.
Not only does the attraction experience more closures than you’d expect from a brand-new ride, but it’s also riddled with technical difficulties. The most recent technical difficulty Guests are noticing has to do with the Daisy Duck animatronic.

Recently, Daisy Duck’s animatronic malfunctioned, resulting in one of the crazier technical difficulties in Disney history.
In this video, we can see that Daisy is completely missing her face for half of the scene, making for an eerie display. Luckily, however, the projection returns to normal before the scene ends, giving Guests a typical ending, at the very least.
However, this isn’t the first time Daisy’s animatronic has had trouble.
In this video, we can see that the Daisy animatronic is working perfectly. However, as she goes to conduct the music, everything stops, including her movement and the movement of Guests’ ride vehicles.
Speaking of interruptions with ride vehicles, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is also prone to completely breaking down, making it an elusive attraction for some Guests.
The most scathing takeaway comes from Reddit user r/Bryan995 who wrote, “We’ve tried 3 times. Probably 5 hours total in line. Never once made it onto the ride. Closest we’ve been was next to load. Always broken down, always escorted out. Absolutely pathetic.”
For a brand new attraction, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is experiencing a high amount of technical difficulties in a very short amount of time. Keep an eye out for this attraction the next time you visit Disneyland Park, and be wary of it running out of Disney Magic and breaking down before you get the chance to experience it!
