Whether visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort, you’re sure to have a magical time. While some experiences are unique to each Disney Park, plenty have been reproduced in both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland.
Classic examples include the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Space Mountain, which can be found in Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom.
A newer example is Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

Disneyland’s newest ride originally opened in Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, taking over the Disney Park’s Chinese Theater. After Guests’ positive reaction, the ride opened in Disneyland Park as well.
This ride takes Guests on a wacky, wild ride into the world of their favorite toons: Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto.
This attraction just opened less than a month ago…but it already seems fraught with technical difficulties.

We recently noticed that the ride’s effects would fail at inopportune moments. For example, this video shows a regrettable incident: as Daisy Duck is about to conduct some music and teach the Guests to waltz, the attraction freezes. The music doesn’t play, Guests’ ride vehicles don’t waltz, and Daisy stays still. Apparently, this is a common occurrance for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
But it turns out that the technical difficulties don’t stop there. According to Guests, this brand-new attraction has been having a difficult time operating. Many Guests have noted that they haven’t even been able to experience the attraction yet due to its technical difficulties.

After this was posted onto Reddit, the replies came pouring in. One user shared a similar experience, writing, “We broke down in the last room last night.”
Another user added, “Broke down when we rode it but luckily we were at the end so didn’t miss anything. Felt bad for the car behind us cause they missed the last scene”
And lastly, the most scathing response of all: “We’ve tried 3 times. Probably 5 hours total in line. Never once made it onto the ride. Closest we’ve been was next to load. Always broken down, always escorted out. Absolutely pathetic.”

Considering how new this Disneyland ride is, it doesn’t bode very well that it experiences this many technical difficulties. Hopefully, the Walt Disney Imagineers can give this stunning ride the TLC and updates it needs to operate as smoothly as possible.
