It is that time of the year when theme Park fans from all over the world gather to see how their favorite and least-favorite theme parks performed in the following year. Themed Entertainment Association/AECOM has become the trusted source for theme Park data, and this year’s data says a lot about how the theme Parks are performing. #1: Magic Kingdom Theme Park: Walt Disney World
To no one’s surprise, Walt Disney World Resort took home the title of the most visited theme Park of 2022. The Park is undoubtedly the most popular in the world, with $17.12 million visitors this past year. These numbers show that people are finally revisiting the Parks after the covid-19 pandemic. While 2022 cannot compare to 2019, when the Park hosted 21 million Guests, it is 35% better than last year’s attendance numbers.

#2: Disneyland Park: Disneyland
Second place went to Disneyland Park, the original Disney theme Park located in Anaheim, California. In 2022, the Park welcomed 16.88 million visitors. This is a vast improvement from last year.
#3: Universal Studios Japan: Osaka, Japan
Following Disney is Universal Studios Japan, with 12.35 million visitors in 2022. This Park, which was ranked #5 in 2019, has clearly gained popularity over the past few years. This shows Disney that they no longer have domination of the top spots in this field.
#4: Tokyo Disneyland Resort: Tokyo, Japan
This Park had a solid 12 million Guests in 2022. This is once again a significant improvement from 2021, but it did move down a place in the overall rankings of Disney Parks.
#5: Universal Islands of Adventure, Orlando Florida
Coming up an incredible seven placements in Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. This Park’s popularity has exploded due to its incredibly popular Harry Potter-themed land that featured rides like Hagrid’s Magic Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
