The Largest Show Floor in D23 History Just Got Revealed for Anaheim

Every D23 announcement season has one reveal that changes the whole planning conversation, and it just arrived. On July 16, Disney unveiled the show floor lineup for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, running August 14 through 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center, and the headline writes itself: this is the largest show floor in D23 history.

Which is amazing news and also a logistics problem, because there is now officially more floor than weekend. Time to break down what’s coming and how to survive it.

The Streaming and Animation Corner

The Disney+ Hulu Experience is a monster on its own: a signature 4D theater, exclusive merch, a collectible mystery pin quest, and photo ops from Percy Jackson and the Olympians, American Horror Story, Camp Rock 3, The Simpsons, Only Murders in the Building, and Marvel Television’s VisionQuest.

Then the animation giants pooled their power. Disney and Pixar Animation Studios share one massive joint pavilion celebrating Pixar’s 40th anniversary, with looks at Hexed, Frozen 3, Gatto, and Incredibles 3, plus live artist demos, filmmaker autograph sessions, and giveaways. Mundo Pixar previews the touring life-size exhibition with its larger-than-life photo moments, and The Simpsons Movie booth is already celebrating a film that doesn’t arrive until September 3, 2027. Confidence level: high.

Marvel and Star Wars Territory

Marvel’s contribution is the TVA Experience: Your Next Assignment, a walkthrough adventure where fans get recruited by the Time Variance Authority and travel through familiar and brand-new corners of the MCU. The Lucasfilm Pavilion counters with a gallery of props, costumes, and photo ops from current and upcoming Star Wars projects, fireside chats with the filmmaking teams, and a special screening of LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian right at the convention center.

The Two Pavilions Parks Fans Should Sprint To

Priority one: Imagineering: Horizons, the largest Disney Parks pavilion in D23 history, where Walt Disney Imagineering shows off the projects reshaping parks worldwide with a close look at the people and process behind them.

Priority two, and arguably the crown jewel of the whole floor: Walt Disney Archives: Uncrated. For the first time ever, the Archives is recreating a journey into its hidden warehouses, spaces that have always been restricted to archivists only, with themed displays of freshly uncrated props, costumes, and puppets from across Disney history. The word “first” does not get thrown around lightly in Archives world. This one is genuinely new.

Everything Else Worth Circling at D23

The rest of the floor reads like a festival lineup. The Avatar Experience walks guests through bioluminescent Pandora with a 4D moment. Bluey and Bingo meet fans at select times, and heads up, reservations are required, so grab that early. ESPN brings a Super Bowl celebration with confetti and an exclusive pin. Disney Theatrical shows off real Broadway sets and costumes with live presentations from Ryan McCartan. The Disney Music Group booth lets fans record a Be Our Guest radio segment that might actually air on SiriusXM’s Disney Hits channel, which is a flex-worthy souvenir.

Lights, Camera, Sparkle! delivers two photo zones, a Mickey & Friends snack world and a Stitch and Angel Glitter Glide spotlight. And the Disney VoluntEARS pavilion deserves a special shoutout: attendees help assemble 8,000 charity kits per day, wish kits with Make-A-Wish on Friday, welcome kits for military families with Blue Star Families on Saturday, and activity kits for hospitalized kids with the Starlight Children’s Foundation on Sunday. Doing good counts as a show floor experience too.

The D23 Survival Strategy

Treat this floor like a park day, because it is one. Rank the priorities, and be honest that everything won’t fit. Lock the Bluey reservation the moment it’s possible. Cluster stops by location instead of zigzagging the largest floor in event history. Budget real time for the 50+ panels and shows, plus the shopping, which will absolutely swallow an afternoon whole.

And the most important item on the packing list: comfortable shoes. Not cute-comfortable. Actually comfortable. The step counter is going to hit numbers usually reserved for a full day at Disneyland, and the fans who dressed for the mileage will be the ones still smiling on Sunday.
