Ride breakdowns are an unavoidable reality at every Disney Park.

Running theme Parks at the size and scale that Disney does is a massive undertaking. Luckily, Disney has the best Cast Members and Imagineering team to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Ride repairs and maintenance are able to happen mostly overnight so that Guests can enjoy the rides all day long.

However, this does not mean that rides don’t break down during the day. In fact, breakdowns happen much more often than many Guests probably think. When your ride breaks down, and the lights come on, you are completely taken out of the immersive experience you were just on. Some fans love this, while others hate feeling like the magic is broken.

For one group riding an iconic Disney ride, their ride breakdown “ruined” the magic for them forever.

Ride Breakdowns: Fascinating or Heartbreaking?

In recent months, the subject of ride breakdowns has seemingly become a lot more common. For whatever reason, Disneyland Park has really been struggling with keeping their rides open the past few weeks. Because of this, thousands of fans have gotten to experience what some iconic Disney rides look like with the lights on.

As mentioned before, some fans love ride breakdowns and take it as an opportunity to see parts of the Park that are normally shut off to Guests. Unfortunately, one family riding Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Park did not feel that way.
